Richland County completes 2015 flood buyouts

The county has acquired and demolished 57 properties damaged in the historic flood through a federal program, with the last property demolition taking place last month. The county is now focusing on rebuilding and repair efforts.

Staffing company makes $17.3 million acquisition

HireQuest Inc., with headquarters in Goose Creek and locations in Columbia and West Columbia, is purchasing the Texas staffing company Snelling Staffing for $17.3 million. The acquisition would include Snelling’s 48 locations in 24 states.
