| G’day Craig here with a massive thank you for supporting our Qld Gives Christmas Appeal that raised more than $300,000 for the Rural Fire Service. It was such a joy to visit volunteer rural firefighters in Aratula to find out how the funds are being spent to help brigades around the State. The money is buying essential equipment including permanent and portable water tanks, solar panels and improved communication technology to track fire trucks in the field. For the 30,000 volunteer rural fire fighters around the State who pull on the yellow overalls, let’s hope it’s a much quieter bushfire season in 2020. | | | |
