Anderson executive arrested for tax evasion

The S.C. Department of Revenue arrested an Anderson executive Thursday and charged him with seven counts of tax evasion. The president and co-owner of three Upstate companies earned more than $6.3 million, the department said.

Greenville medical school receives $1.5 million

The University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville will launch a scholarship endowment with $1.5 million awarded from the Jolley Foundation for students in need.

City of Greenville holds mask give-away

The city of Greenville will hold its fifth mask distribution event for local businesses on Wednesday, Nov. 18, from 8-10 a.m. at the Greenville Convention Center. Mask pick-up will be drive-thru style at the entrance off of Tower Drive and Exposition Drive (near the downtown airport). Businesses will be limited to 100 masks each while supplies last. Mask recipients will be required to sign the Greater Greenville Pledge.
