My son decided that he no longer liked his Spiderman lunch box and was refusing to use it in the new school year. I told him I could try and paint it, but I couldn't promise that it would be beautiful. We worked out the design together and got to work on turning his Spiderman lunch box into a BB-8, from Starwars, lunch box.
Here is a fun twist on the classic jack-o-lantern. The perfect fall project for a gardener.

Water, being such a valuable resource, should never be wasted. When running the faucet to get hot water, collect the water in a bucket or cut-up gallon milk bottle. We live in a small house and we can fill two, gallon milk jugs of water before the water is hot.

A great way to deodorize clothes is to place some vodka in a spray bottle and mist them with it. Hang them to dry and you'll notice all the smells are gone. The vodka kills bacteria and odor, but won't leave an alcohol scent behind. This is great for clothes that you just brought out from storage.

I purchased this speedwell plant at Lowe's a couple of years ago in the discount plant section; a favorite shopping area for my garden. The nigella is an annual that regularly self seeds and has actually grown from seeds that fell into a pot of other plants that I moved with me.

All you need to do to use some leftovers and make a different meal. Add a quart size carton of chicken broth to last night's leftovers and make a fabulous soup. Last night we had a hamburger, tomato & pasta dish, but you can use any casserole dish. Top it with shredded cheese and bread on the side.
