Hello, Tuesday lunchtime is when we round up the best of our planning and property news. A poster proclaiming an all you can eat restaurant is ‘coming soon’ to Preston has been on display for eight years – but there’s no sign yet of the eaterie opening. Cosmo Authentic World Kitchen announced in 2012 it was opening a site in the city before further whetting foodies’ appetites the following year with a social media post. But despite the lengthy build-up, there no sign yet of a Cosmo dinner being served up in the city. Elsewhere, an ambitious bid has been launched to drum up the cash needed to guarantee the future of Preston’s only certified grassroots music venue. The Ferret is one of nine gig spaces nationwide in which locals - and the music industry itself - are being invited to buy shares in order to ensure that they are not left at the mercy of the landlords who own the buildings from which they operate. The Fylde Road venue went on the market back in March and is being promoted as ripe for conversion to residential use. As ever, we’ve also taken a look at some of the stunning Lancashire properties on the market at the moment.
