Resort plans recommended for refusal

Outline plans for a luxury retirement village in the grounds of the 450-acre St Mellion Estate Hotel & Golf Resort, alongside further expansion at the site, have been recommended for refusal. The boss of Crown Golf Property said the resort was taking steps to reimagine its offer in response to the "unprecedented trading impact of the global pandemic" and he hoped that planning approval would be forthcoming.
