In light of the state of emergency declarations in North Carolina and in other states across the United States, we regret to inform you that the United States Colored Troops Public Sculpture Project Fundraiser to be held Saturday, March 14 will be rescheduled. Nothing is more important than the health and safety of our members, visitors, volunteers, and staff, and we made our decision with this in mind. We will be in touch soon with a new date. The proceeds from the ticket sales go directly to this important project. The work has already begun at the bronze foundry for this sculpture. Thanks to your belief in, and financial support of, this heroic commemorative work of art, we can and will make this project a reality, together. We know all of you are eager to meet the artist Stephen Hayes at the rescheduled date. Right now, CAM's doors remain open, and we are taking extra precautions to keep the museum and the galleries clean. We are following recommendations of the CDC and staying in contact with local and federal agencies. Visitors are encouraged to check the museum website for the latest information on events, cancellations, and rescheduling; more information on health precautions can be found via NCDHHS at ncdhhs.gov/coronavirus |
