Repurpose Spent Water Filter Cartridges

Water filters contain activated charcoal and after mine expire I cut open the cartridge (CAREFULLY with a steak knife) and pour the contents into my cats' litter box to reduce odor. I could also use it in my chicken coop for the same reason.

I got Echo as a Valentine's Day gift for my husband in 2016. A friend of mine had a litter of puppies that needed homes so I surprised him with going and picking her out.

When I give my house-cats their bath, I love each one up really good first. Then I pick her up and get into the shower with her. I have the two separate large plastic cups from a Quickstop with diluted shampoo and conditioner ready on the floor.
