The Biden administration has threatened to take “immediate action” against Texas after the state’s Attorney General Ken Paxton designated puberty blockers and the castration of children child abuse under state law. In a statement last week, President Biden called the move "government overreach" and said, "Like so many anti-transgender attacks proliferating in states across the country, the Governor’s actions callously threaten to harm children and their families just to score political points." On the same day, the Department of Health and Human Services also put Texas “on notice that their discriminatory actions put children’s lives at risk.”

A Christian activist in China was detained and charged with "picking quarrels and provoking trouble" after she was caught holding up a sign asking Chinese President Xi Jinping to believe in Jesus. The woman, Zhou Jinxia, has been arrested more than 50 times for previous attempts to share the Gospel with the Chinese president.

A recent study from MIT has found that lies spread on Twitter much faster than truthful statements, writes Robin Schumacher, who goes on to discuss why false messages are more likely to go viral than the truth. Schumacher points to observations by Dr. Aaron James Wendland who, in a recent article, proposed that people are more concerned about establishing and maintaining a connection with their "tribal group" than they are with fully understanding a matter on social media. When it comes to the spiritual connection to these observations, Schumacher notes, "Until a spiritual transformation occurs in the heart of a person, they won’t care about the truth, but will instead just manage information to support the lies they live in and mock those outside their tribe." One of the other deacons started hammering me. “The reason this church exists is to protect our children and good, clean people like us from people like that at the beach. Iowa has passed a law mandating that any student who wants to participate in girls' sports must be a biological female, becoming the 11th state to do so. “No amount of talent, training or effort can make up for the natural physical advantages males have over females. It’s simply a reality of human biology,” Governor Kim Reynolds said in a statement issued on the day that she signed the legislation, stating, "Forcing females to compete against males is the opposite of inclusivity and it’s absolutely unfair.” Click here for a full list of the U.S. states who prohibit biological males from participating in women's sports.
