The workplace is an excellent setting for employee health and well-being programs, but companies need a variety of programs and policies to "make the healthy choice the easy choice," Chris Calitz, of the American Heart Association's Center for Workplace Health, told the Ohio Valley Workplace Wellness Conference. Calitz said it is important to manage stress in the workplace, and David McKinley of McKinley Carter Wealth Services said offering financial wellness tools can lead to better employee retention and engagement.
