These are the best monitors I saw at CES 2025

There were dozens of monitors at CES 2025, but these five really stood out

Digital Trends’ Jacob Roach saw a lot of monitors at CES 2025 in Las Vegas this week, and after much deliberation, he’s managed to pick out five favorites. Jacob's first choice is Samsung’s Odyssey 3D monitor. “It's not the first glasses-free 3D monitor, but it's by far the best I've seen up to this point,” he writes. Read on for more details.

Jacob also selected the Asus ROG PG27UCDM, an impressive 27-inch OLED with a 4K resolution (up from the usual 1440p that we see with similarly sized OLED monitors), offering a "tack-sharp image bolstered by vibrant colors and deep contrast" ...

Samsung will soon let you rent its smartphones instead of buying them

Such rental programs have never really taken off, but can Samsung make it work?

Folks looking to get their hands on the Samsung Galaxy S25, but who don't have the funds to pay for it, may be able to rent out the upcoming model — and other Samsung Galaxy phones — before too long, Digital Trends reported.

At CES 2025 this week, Samsung CEO and vice chairman Han Jong-hee reportedly said that the company plans to introduce a subscription service at the next Galaxy Unpacked event in two weeks’ time, with a view to launching it as early as February. We don't know the fee, but all should be revealed at Galaxy Unpacked ...

Shokz OpenFit 2 promise better sound, fit, and battery life

One of the best open-ear earbuds has just gotten a lot better

Shokz turned up at CES 2025 with news of an upgrade for its highly regarded OpenFit open-ear earbuds. The OpenFit 2 promise better sound, a better fit, and improved battery life. And best of all, Shokz has kept the price at $180.

Improved sound comes via a new dual-driver arrangement that pairs a 17.3mm bass driver with a dedicated high-frequency driver. The volume curve has also been tweaked, with the OpenFit 2 now able to pump out the same level at 50% that the original OpenFit muster when at 65%. Battery life has been boosted significantly from 7 hours per charge and 28 hours total via the case to 11/48 hours respectively ...

Heart Eyes trailer: Valentine’s Day just got a lot bloodier

A masked killer — with fetching heart-shaped eyes — stalks victims on Valentine's Day in the upcoming romantic comedy slasher

In Heart Eyes, Valentine's Day becomes a killing ground for a masked murderer. In a just-released trailer set to an eerie cover of Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You, two co-workers are in the fight of their lives as the crazed killer goes after the Seattle-based duo.

Heart Eyes comes from the producers of Scream and stars Olivia Holt, Mason Gooding, Gigi Zumbado, Michaela Watkins, Devon Sawa, and Jordana Brewster. Holt plays one of the unlucky girls being stalked by the killer, though her character knows that the only way to eliminate the tormentor is to face him head-on. Heart Eyes hits theaters on February 7, one week before Valentine's Day.

The new Atari Gamestation Go handheld is pure retro glory

It'll be available later this year for $150

Unveiled at CES 2025 this week, the new Atari Gamestation Go is a retro handheld with more than 200 Atari games preloaded — including three different versions of Pac-Man. In many ways, it's a portable version of the Atari Gamestation Pro, a tiny home console version — but way better.

The Gamestation Go features a 7-inch 16:9 display, a joystick, a D-pad, a trackball, four buttons, and a numberpad. It also has an HDMI port for linking to a larger screen, a microSD card slot, and internal storage, though the capacity has yet to be revealed. A neat touch is that you can plug in wired controllers for multiplayer games ...
