Sep. 19, 2017, Philadelphia, PA - The Middle East Forum invites you to view via live stream on Facebook the keynote address by its president, Daniel Pipes, today, Tuesday, Sep. 19, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., EDT. Click here to view the event live.
The talk caps an otherwise closed, off-the-record day-long event with the Political Committee of NATO’s Parliamentary Assembly (NATO PA) in Philadelphia. The goal of the conference is to help 25 parliamentarians from 12 countries formulate NATO policies in the Middle East.
Many speakers, including Tony Badran of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, Lee Smith of the Weekly Standard, and Zuhdi Jasser of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy, will address the parliamentarians.
Mr Pipes' talk, titled “How the Middle East is Important to NATO” will be followed by a question and answer session moderated by Lord Jopling of the UK House of Lords and NATO PA’s vice president.
NATO PA is “a unique specialized forum for members of parliaments from across the Atlantic Alliance to discuss and influence decisions on Alliance security.” Its Political Committee “focuses on all political questions concerning the security of NATO and its member and partner countries.”
