progress report Geneva, 19 January 2023 – A new status report from the World Health Organization (WHO) has found that billions of people globally remain unprotected by policies that eliminate harmful trans fat which increases their risk of heart diseases and death. While many countries have implemented best-practice policies for tackling trans fat in food, we are off track in terms of reaching the goal of total elimination in 2023.
