Hello, Friday is when we look at the best of our retro and nostalgia content from the last week. In 2002 Preston was granted city status as part of the Queen’s 50th Jubilee celebrations. As Her Majesty now celebrates 70 years on the throne, we have looked back into the archives as Preston went from town to city. There are lots of reasons to love Preston and these pictures show just why it was chosen for that all-important city crown. Our look back at classic school shots continues with Fulwood High School and our year in focus is 2000 - as the city welcomed in the new millennium. With news PNE will be heading to Spain this summer, our North End retro is when Malaga were the visitors to Deepdale for the final warm-up clash ahead of the 2005/06 campaign.
