Virtual Floating Lantern Ceremony Sunday, January 10, 5-6:30 PM on Facebook Live and YouTube
Remember someone special, express your gratitude, or create a wish for the new year when you adorn your lantern sleeve. CAM staff and volunteers will assemble and float the lanterns on CAM’s reflecting pond beginning at 5 PM on Sunday, January 10, while you watch the ceremony from the comfort of your own home. Live music by Perry Smith on drums and Josh Youse on guitar will help set the stage for the evening as the sun sets and the candlelight from the lanterns come into focus. Click here to purchase a lantern sleeve from CAM or buy one in the Museum Shop until January 9. Return you lantern sleeve to CAM by noon on January 10 to participate. |

Cameron Art Museum honors the life and work of civil rights activist Martin Luther King with the "I Have a Dream" Peace Flag Project. We invite the community to take inspiration from King’s iconic speech from 1963 and think deeply about our own hopes and dreams for ourselves, our city, our nation, and the world. These dreams will be written on squares of cloth, emblematic of the peace prayer flags created for centuries in Tibet. Your peace flag will be included in a community installation that will be displayed around the CAM pond. Together, these flags represent our collective desire for racial unity, community healing, and peace.

Gentle Yoga with Steve Unger Wednesday, January 6, 9-10 AM Donation $5
Join Steve Unger on Wednesdays at 9m beginning January 6 for yoga in person or on Facebook Live. Steve will present a chair option for most -- if not all -- poses. New mats and props available for newcomers.

In-Person Class Night and Low Light Photography with Alan Cradick Saturday, January 9, 6-8 PM, outside & Sunday, January 10, 12-2 PM Zoom for critique CAM Members: $48; Non-Members: $60
With long exposures and using available light, your photo making does not need to end with the daylight. Many great images are made with longer shutter speeds and use of a tripod to steady your camera. Headlight streaks are also part of the night photography mix. Join photographer Alan Cradick and learn more about taking photos at night in this fun outdoor class.
