Traxxas TRX-4 All-Terrain Traxx track set Posted: 07 May 2019 08:07 AM PDT Traxxas have introduced their new Traxx All-Terrain track set for the TRX-4 trail truck. The large contact patch and grippy treads shrug off the deepest mud and float across deep sand while raising the portal axles even higher for increased ground clearance that lets drivers straddle huge obstacles on the trail. Each Traxx drive unit is engineered for rugged, yet smooth performance. An adjustable tension wheel keeps the treads tight while suspended road wheels allow the tread to conform to surface irregularities for maximum traction. Oil-filled dampers on each drive unit control rotational movements to help keep the tread glued to the surface. The rear Traxx drive units are longer to allow climbing steeper grades with authority. The track set is designed for the use with Traxxas’ TRX-4 trail truck but it is understood to fit other trail trucks as well.

Kurzbuch & Schär win at Swiss IC Track opener Posted: 07 May 2019 02:05 AM PDT The opening round of the Swiss IC Track Championship was held at the fast and demanding Sitterdorf track near the Lake Constance last weekend. The event was influenced by recurrent snowfall and rain resulting in very low grip. In the 1/8th class pilots had to fight through ice, snow, wet and cold and there were tough demands on man and machine. The main final was run under damp/dry conditions and it was Simon Kurzbuch with a clean sweep, taking the TQ and the victory from Luca Martinelli in 2nd and Jürg Nydegger in 3rd. In the 1/10th class Niclas Scherer was fastest driver all weekend. However problems during tyre change in the final prevented his first victory in his new team. Nevertheless, his ambitions were rewarded with the runner-up position behind winner Traugott Schär. Marco Schwab would round out the top 3 result.
