Mitchell & Huzel win at PRCP Summer Showdown Series Posted: 22 Sep 2017 07:11 AM PDT The PRCP Summer Showdown Series saw Torian Mitchell walking away with the win in the Nitro Buggy class. Jordan Huzel had a good second qualifier and took TQ however at the start of the main final he was rear-ended and pushed off the track. Coming back from 4th place he worked his way back up to overall 2nd while Keith Schroeder ended the day in 3rd overall. Elsewhere in the 1/8th E-Buggy class it was Jordan Huzel with the win coming from the 2 spot. Jordan was in a battle for 1st for the first couple of minutes but he managed to get into 1st and from there just drove his race to ultimately take the win from Jeff Mutschler 2nd and Keith Schroeder 3rd. Sulc & Havranek takes Czech EP On-road titles Posted: 22 Sep 2017 06:18 AM PDT The Czech Electric On-road Nationals took place in Nachod in changing weather conditions. The weekend started off with practice on Friday while Saturday’s qualifiers being heavily influenced by the rainy weather. Sunday mains day the rain stopped but even in the finals the track was still wet in some parts and in the Touring Stock class it was reigning champion, Oliver Havranek who lead an Xray 1-2-3 with TQ Martin Sponar on the runner-up spot and Ondrej Kohoutek rounding out the podium results. Elsewhere in the Touring Modified class it was Matej Sulc (Xray) with the overall win from Vita Hola (Xray) in 2nd and Karel Dolezal (VBC Racing) 3rd. Source: Xray [teamxray.com] ![]() ![]() |

2017 Serpent Asia Cup – Announcement Posted: 22 Sep 2017 04:45 AM PDT The Hong Kong based TRC racing track will play host to the 2017 Serpent Asia Cup on the weekend of the 3rd of December. After the successful 2016 edition this year’s event will again be held in the Serpent-only classes of 1/8th nitro on-road, 1/10th nitro on-road as well as Open and Spec Cobra GT. 3DRC D-type touring car rear wing Posted: 22 Sep 2017 02:10 AM PDT 3DRC have further expanded their range of 190mm touring car rear wings by the new D-type wing. Of a more conventional design the wing sports extra flaps for improved airflow and maximised downforce. Dual mounting holes in standard “Protoform pattern” allow to use the 3-D-printed wing in a front or rearward position. RCSS EB410 titanium screw kit & hinge pin set Posted: 22 Sep 2017 01:58 AM PDT RC Speed Secrets have introduced a Grade 5 titanium screw kit and titanium hinge pin set for the Tekno EB410 1/10th 4WD buggy. Starting with the screw kit, the set is available in two colour options, “bling” or “stealth black” and it includes 49 fasteners with deep socket heads for greater durability and less stripping. As for the hinge pin set, it includes eight suspension shafts made from Grade 5 titanium and it scrubs about 1/3 of weight compared to the standard steel pins while also being more corrosion resistant. Posted: 22 Sep 2017 12:56 AM PDT Adding to RPM’s already released flat and gull wing front A-arms are the new rear arms for the Team Associated B6-series of buggies. With stock A-arms, the amount of slop at the hinge-pins can cause the suspension settings to wander, while the RPM arms are made to stricter tolerances for overall improved precision. In addition the arms are also a lot lighter, saving up to 9.5g in total including hinge pin retaining hardware. Helix Designs Anti Body Tuck System Posted: 22 Sep 2017 12:27 AM PDT Coming from Helix Designs is their new Anti Body Tuck System for most of today’s 1/10th touring bodies. The Y-shaped and 3-D-printed braces were designed to prevent annoying and race-destroying body tucks by reinforcing the rear trunk and wheel arch section. The system weighs in at about three grams per side, it is very durable, will never fall off and can easily be moved from one body to another. Successfully tested by racers such as Vilkami Kutvonen and with bodies such as the Montech Racer, IS-200, Nazda 2, Protoform MazdaSpeed 6 and LTC-R, the system will also fit many other body shells. T-Works TKI4 brass steering knuckle & rear hub weights Posted: 22 Sep 2017 12:11 AM PDT Coming from T-Works and made for the Kyosho MP9 TKI4 are brass weights for the steering knuckles and rear hubs. The parts are designed to wrap around the outer bearing seats and add unsprung weight to the suspension which can be beneficial in certain track conditions. The weights come as pairs in 5g, 10g or 15g specification and for the front or the rear of the buggy. Also available is a combo set that contains a pair or each for all-out tuneability.
