Mikael Fransson takes Swedish 1/8th IC Track title Posted: 13 Jul 2017 04:22 AM PDT The recent Swedish Nitro On-road Nationals were held at the big and fast Örebro track with drivers from Sweden, Norway and Denmark in attendance. Saturday was pretty much washed away by the rain and so it was decided to have two additional rounds of qualifying on Sunday morning. In the 1/8th class some drivers decided to race anyway and so the overnight TQ was held by Mikael Fransson from Bengt Andersson. Sunday started off nice and dry and the two remaining rounds would be held in good track conditions. Again Mikael was the fastest in front of Norwegian top driver Tom-Erik Haaversen. Due to the revised time schedule the Super Pole format was cancelled and the top 4 drivers would directly proceed into the A-main with Tom-Erik Haaversen, Magnus Bengtsson and Bengt Andersson being the lucky ones to score a direct spot on the grid behind TQ holder Mikael. In the final Mikael Fransson was able to pull away directly from the start. Behind him it was a close battle between Magnus and Tom-Erik until the latter ran into problems. This meant Magnus could take the runner-up spot in front of Per-Ola Hård who ran a solid final and finished 3rd overall. Source: Serpent [serpent.com] FacebookTwitterGoogle+Pin It |

Destiny RX-10S spring steel spool cup set Posted: 13 Jul 2017 02:32 AM PDT Destiny have introduced a new spring steel spool cup set for the RX-10S touring car. The parts utilise a special design that allows to run the front driveshafts with or without C-blades. Using the protective plastic blades results in less stress on the outdrives and driveshafts while the blade-less variant will slightly improve traction and forward bite at the expense of increased outdrive and driveshaft wear. Included in the set are suitable C-blades. Source: Destiny [destinyracing.jp] FacebookTwitterGoogle+Pin It |

The sandwich shock stays utilise gold or blue carbon fibre over a Kevlar layer with a carbon fibre core. This makes the shock towers structurally stronger and more durable while the outer layer adds a touch of colour. Lighter than stock the parts also lower the overall centre of gravity.
