Pro-Line roll out new X-Maxx & monster truck options Posted: 25 May 2017 06:50 AM PDT Coming soon from Pro-Line are new option parts for the Traxxas X-Maxx as well as other monster trucks. First up is the Ultra reservoir shock cap tailor-made for the Traxxas X-Maxx truck. It fits directly onto the stock X-Maxx shocks and transform them into fully functional reservoir shocks. The additional reservoir provides more oil volume which results in cooler shock temps and improved shock consistency. The reservoir piston compensates for the volume of the shock shaft delivering plush performance over small bumps and large jumps just like full-scale shocks. The included shock cap, reservoir, piston and bottom cap have all been CNC machined out of high-grade aluminium to exacting specifications to meet the demands of the enormous X-Maxx. The included O-rings provide perfect sealing and Delrin upper pivot balls are included for optimum performance. Also new is the Big-Hit servo saver Kit for solid axle monster trucks and rock racers. The assembly absorbs the big hits while still providing precision steering feel. The key is the precision machined aluminium rocker arm that is suspended between two springs on the steering linkage. The springs isolate the servo from damaging impacts but are stiff enough to provide that precise steering input that is expected out of high end race vehicles. The kit includes a new black anodised aluminium pre-bent upper steering link that will fit a wide range of popular solid axle monster trucks and rock racers and the rocker arm has been laser etched with a P-L logo. Pinisch & Hönigl win at Austrian 1/10th Buggy Nats Rd1 Posted: 25 May 2017 04:45 AM PDT Round 1 of the Austrian 1/10th Electric Off-road Nationals was held at the MRC Oberaich track. Although rather big for a 1/10th scale race the track is among the favourite of most drivers with the natural dirt surface being very challenging but a lot of fun. Saturday started off with a track that got really bumpy but also offered high traction yet overnight rain changed things massively, leading to much lower grip but a smoother track. After some very close racing in the 2WD mains, Peter Pinisch (Team Associated) walked away with the win from Xray’s Hupo Hönigl while Stefan Pfeiffhofer (Team Associated) had to settle for 3rd overall. 2WD final results: The 4WD class had Hupo Hönigl (Xray) leading the way with a clean sweep of the qualifiers and A-mains to take the day’s win from Peter Pinisch (Team Associated). Team C driver Martin Kreil would come in 3rd overall. 4WD final results: Source: Xray [teamxray.com] FacebookTwitterGoogle+Pin It |
