Traxxas pre-glued paddle tyres

The all-new lineup features strong scoops combined with strengthening ribs and TSM-rated glue joints to provide a whole new dimension in traction and off road fun. All tyres are sold in pairs and are pre-glued on genuine Traxxas wheels to make it fast and easy to get going. They are available for X-Maxx, Revo and Maxx trucks, Slash, Rustler, and Stampede models.

New Protoform Pro-Lite & regular weight pan car bodies

Protoform have introduced new Pro-Lite variants of their successful AMR-12, Strakka-12, BMR-12 and BMR-12.1 1/12th scale body shells as well as a regular weight variant of the Swift-235 Pro10 lid. The 1/12th bodies are made of genuine Lexan polycarbonate material and due to they very low weight they are recommended for the expert racer who is in search of the very last bit of performance. The Swift-235 body for 235mm wide Pro10 cars is moulded from 0.030″ Lexan and due to its higher stiffness and weight it is recommended for outdoor modified racing.

3rd Annual Quebec Onroad Nationals – Report

Club Circuit Téléguidé St-Hyacinthe in Quebec, Canada help its 3rd Annual Quebec Onroad Nationals with 65 racers and 135 entries coming from across Canada and the US, making it the second biggest event in Canada. Competition was very close and the changing track condition made it very challenging to stay on top, there were top notch drivers competing in each main who showed a high level of sportsmanship. In the premier Modified Sedan class it was Team Associated’s Keven Hebert who took the TQ and win from AE teammates Alex Fournier and Adam Hutchison.


Sedan Stock had Alex Fournier taking the TQ honours and also the win from Lou Venderway 2nd and Adam Hutchison 3rd. USGT was TQ’d and win by Adam Hutchison with Carlo Roman and Richard Swindells rounding out the podium result in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Over in VTA it was again the top qualifier that brought home the hardware. Daniel Therrien started from pole position and came out fastest from Rami Zein and Douglas Jensen.

1/12th scale Modified had Keven Hebert taking his second title of the weekend with Louis Marcoux and Tony Tang coming in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

1/12th scale Stock and it was TQ Alex Fournier who also made the double by coming out on top of David L’Ecuyer and Carlo Roman.

TQ Adam Hutchison was the third driver that weekend to walk away with a double title. In the Formula class Adam held the upper hand over Carlo Roman and Mathieu Gauthier. Finally in Tamiya Mini it was Tony Tang who took the title from Daniel Therrien and Nathan Charron.

Avid 1/8th rear hub spacers & domed droop screws

Coming from Avid are aluminium rear hub spacers for the Mugen MBX7 and Team Associated RC8B3 as well as domed droop screws for 1/8th scale vehicles. Starting with the rear hub spacers, the parts are machined from 6061-T6 aluminium and they are specially designed to remove all the slop from the rear hubs while providing strength. The spacers are available in grey colour for the Mugen MBX7 series of buggies, trucks and cars and in black colour for Team Associated’s 3rd generation RC8 kits.


Also new are the titanium domed droop screws for 8th scale off-road applications. Machined from billet 6Al-4V titanium the design of the M4x12 screws helps maintain the droop settings in those rough conditions by not digging away at the chassis. Broached with a 2mm Allen head on the thread side they make for easy reverse installation while the lightweight material also scrubs some weight. The set includes four drop screws.

Ray Munday doubles at Victorian Drivers Series Rd2

Round 2 of the Victorian Drivers Series saw over 100 entries race at the Knox club in the South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. The club had recently laid down a new clay surface – which received over 80mm of rain just before the event. Thanks to hard work from the club, the track was fantastic for the event, providing a low-wear, consistent race surface akin to an indoor track. The Modified 2WD and 4WD Buggy classes were dominated by Team Associated/Reedy drivers, with factory driver Ray Munday taking TQ and winning all three mains of each class for a perfect score for the weekend. Andrew Selvaggi (Team Associated/Hobbywing) and Matt Kellett (Team Associated/Reedy) were close behind for a Team Associated podium sweep in both 2WD and 4WD Modified. The Modified Truck class was taken out by 12-year-old gun Jordan Isergin.

HPI Racing Type M 190mm touring car body shell

HPI Racing’s Type M touring car body shell for 190mm chassis was developed to give high downforce, increased traction and steering response for more tight and twisty race tracks. The body, available in a regular or lighweight version, includes clear overspray film, convenient window mask plus a decal sheet featuring grilles, headlight and tail light details, along with an HPI logo and Race number decal sheets. Also included is a race wing along with the mounting hardware.

VP Pro introduce new GT body shell

Coming from VP Pro is the new GT01 body shell for 1/8th GT on-road kits. Moulded from tough 1.2mm polycarbonate the body is of a very aerodynamic design, it features a long front section, short rear overhang, a large wing and it fits all cars with a wheelbase of around 333mm.

Fábio Torres Ramos wins Portuguese 200mm opener

The first round of the Portuguese National Championship was held at Figueira da Foz track in Maiorca in the centre of Portugal. The event saw Fábio Torres Ramos taking the TQ spot, setting the fastest lap and winning the main final one lap in front of the 2nd placed driver Nuno Duraes with Hugo Trindade completing the podium another three laps down.

Capricorn TE-03 EXF aluminium chassis

Coming from Capricorn and made for the TE-03 electric touring car is the EXF aluminium chassis. The chassis shares its design with the V4 chassis that comes with the Power Light Kit and it allows for the use of the new bulkheads brackets and both the slim and the standard motor mount enabling multiple flex options.

TQ Wire 2S trans/rec charge cable

TQ Wire have introduced the 2S trans/rec charge cable, an adapter that allows to charge 2S LiXX transmitter and receiver batteries through their balancer port. Fitting XH balancer plug equipped LiPo, LiIon and LiFe batteries, the adapter attaches to the battery’s balancer port while on the input side any 2S balancer charge harness with 5mm and 2mm bullet-type connectors can be used.
