Based off of the FX3 the latest variant features a noticeable amount of changes and updates such as the new rear power pod with newly designed 6mm alloy motor and side plate that now allow rear axle height adjustments using shims rather than the conventional inserts. The shock comes with precision machined POM piston and rod guide for better overall performance. The centre pivot plate on the FX4 is of an adjustable design using a large diameter nut to make for easier assembly while allowing for virtually friction-less performance. The car is based of a new hard 2.5mm carbon fibre chassis for improved handling on very high-bite tracks and higher corner speeds. The chassis also offers several steering servo layouts with mounting holes for standard servo mounts, the use of a Sanwa-style direct mounts of an optional floating servo mount. Hobbywing XeRun 3652 & 3660 SD G2 sensored motors

Posted: 15 Dec 2016 02:57 AM PST

Hobbywing have introduced their new XeRun 3652 and 3660 SD G2 sensored brushless motors. Equipped with a built-in chip that lets Hobbywing XR8 series brushless controllers recognise the motor, the system will provide improved performance and smoother control in sensored mode. The motor is housed in a machined aluminium case with heatsink design for optimised heat dissipation and the low cogging design with 4-pole/8-magnet setup reduces cogging for improved driving feel at lower speeds. This is further helped by a special hall sensor system that ensures clean and “error free” hall sensor output signals. On top of this the motors feature an adjustable mechanical timing in a 20 to 40 degree range and they use silicone O-ring seals for sensor port protection. The shorter 3652 motor is available as 3100kv to 6100kv variant with 3.175mm or 5.0mm output shaft while the longer 3660 variant comes in 3200kv to 4300kv specification, exclusively with 5mm output shaft.
