Axial SCX10 III standard axle conversion kit Posted: 19 Nov 2020 07:58 AM PST For rock racing and crawling enthusiasts eager to give SCX10 III vehicles maximum scale accuracy, Axial Racing now offers a straight axle kit that includes everything you need to convert the portal axle SCX10 III to standard axle. The SCX10 III standard axle conversion kit is designed for a 12.3″ (313mm) wheelbase but supports all wheelbases, including 12″ (305mm), 11.4″ (290mm) and 13.9″ (353mm). Adjustments to rear links may be required. All of the parts required for the conversion are included and to make installation easy, the axles, links, and shocks come factory-assembled and ready to bolt in. Axial also includes oil for the shocks. The kit’s scale-looking AR45 standard solid axles feature ball bearings and metal gears for long-lasting durability. AR45 universal joint axles provide up to 45 degrees of steering along with smoother action for an efficient, high performing drivetrain. Hypoid differential gears are used, along with a 6-bolt locker in both the front and rear axles for strength and durability. Included are tuneable, large bore aluminium shocks that provide excellent dampening over dirt, gravel, rock and other demanding off-road surfaces. A bleed screw helps to bleed air from the shocks during assembly for consistent performance. All links are metal and all pivot points are on stainless steel balls that provide dependable endurance. The Dirt Nitro Challenge 2021 – Announcement Posted: 19 Nov 2020 01:14 AM PST The Dirt has announced that the 2021 ‘The Dirt Nitro Challenge’ preparations are under way. With the continued Covid-19 restrictions the State fairgrounds, where the event has been located for the last two years, were not able to make the commitment to ensure the opening of the fairgrounds and the ability to hold the event in 2021. So Joey has moved the event to the world famous Thunder Alley Raceway in Beaumont, Sunny Southern California. The facility is perfect for the event with full hookup camping, horseshoe tournament pits, nice restrooms, grass park and a huge grass field for us to set up manufacturers row and pit areas. The event will take place on the 17th to 21st of February next year and entries are now open. Tyler & Clements win Asphalt Wars final Posted: 19 Nov 2020 01:03 AM PST Last weekend was the last leg of a four round points chase for Asphalt Wars in NorCal. This event was hosted at Speedworld Raceway in Roseville California. With a lighter turnout due to weather conditions, there was still quality racing. In 17.5 TC it was Xray driver Lex Tyler who would take TQ honours and win the single main from tone to tone with Jeff Auxier (Yokomo) in 2nd and Marcus Plumlee (Xray) in 3rd. 17.5 results: For Mod TC Xray America ace Brandon Clements would take TQ honors and had a battle with Lex Tyler in the final after having to come back from a roll on first lap. Getting passed Eric Albano (Awesomatix) and Alex Fera (Xray) after some laps, Clements would close the gap on Tyler in the lead. With two laps to go Tyler caught a little air going through crosstown allowing Clements to get by and win the last leg with Lex Tyler in 2nd and Alex Fera in 3rd. Lex Tyler would take overall win for four rounds of the series with Aaron Lewis (Yokomo) in 2nd and Brandon Clements in 3rd. Milansport Xray Race series Rd2 – Report Posted: 19 Nov 2020 12:37 AM PST Last Saturday the second round of the Milansport Xray Race series was held in Bierun, a city located in the south part of Poland. After a successful first round, the series is proving popular with drivers from Czech Republic and Germany joining the locals to battle for the win. TC Stock was the biggest group at this event with 20 drivers and in qualification the fastest was Lukasz Mach comfortably taking all 3 qualifiers in front of Henrik Heitsch and Martin Kratochvil. In the finals Lukasz took three tone to tone wins with a large gap, while behind there were some great fights between Henrik and Martin for the remaining podium places. In the end Henrik secured his 2nd spot ahead of Martin. Stock results: In the formula class Filip Rajdus took TQ after dominating qualifying in front of Tomas Rajdus and Adrian Lippich. Filip transferred his pace into victory and showing some great driving skills with his Xray X1. Adrian Lippich was trying to get close to Filip, but he had a close fight with Tomas, who was able to hold onto his 2nd spot util the end. Formula results: In TC Modified we would see some great side by side action between Kratochvil’s family from Czech Republic. Karel took the win in qualifications however in finals Martin was pushing hard from 2nd spot. In the end Martin won all 3 finals.
