Bernardo Diez Vega wins at Cantabro regionals Rd3 Posted: 10 Aug 2020 08:52 AM PDT The Circuito de Elechas track in Elechas, Cantabria, Spain hosted round 3 of the Cantabro regional championship this past weekend. Bernardo Diez Vega would make a clean sweep in the Formula class qualifiers and he also took home the wins in the triple A-main events for an early overall victory. Fernando Moro came in 2nd overall as Aitor Fernandez rounded out the top 3 result. Ty Tessmann sweeps 2020 Quebec Classic Posted: 10 Aug 2020 07:41 AM PDT The 2020 Quebec Classic race was hosted by Bego Racing RC Raceway this past weekend, attracting over 240 entries. The 1/8th Nitro Buggy class saw Xray’s Ty Tessmann taking the overall TQ and he also came out on top in the 30-minute A-main event. leaving behind Xray teammate, Mark Sousa in 2nd. Sam Langer (Mugen) would end the race in 3rd, some two laps behind as Abiye Birku (Serpent) and Olivier Raposo (Team Associated) ended the race in 4th and 5th respectively. Over in 1/8th E-Buggy it was again top qualifier Ty Tessmann with the overall win as he came out on top in both A-main events. Mark Sousa would come in 2nd again as Brian Ross (Team Associated) completed the top 3 result. Jerome Treignier (Mugen) in 4th and Wesley Gurr (Serpent) in 5th rounded out the top 5. Vogl, Riedmann & Luyer win at Wr. Neustadt club race Posted: 10 Aug 2020 07:16 AM PDT The MRC Wiener Neustadt club hosted round 3 of their club race series this past weekend in preparation of the forthcoming Austrian National in about three weeks time. In the Touring Modified class it was 2nd place qualifier, Dominic Vogl with the win from Patrick Gollner in 2nd. Marcell Wostalek came in 3rd overall as top qualifier, Sascha Klug had to settle for 4th overall. Touring Stock 13.5T had Robin Riedmann taking the pole position for the triple A-main events, however it was Wiktor Smid with the overall win from Robin in 2nd. Jürgen Linsberger came in 3rd overall to round out the podium result. The popular FWD Touring class had Florian Luyer taking the overall TQ and he also walked away with the silverware after the triple A-main events, as René Kronsteiner and Andreas Teubl came in 2nd and 3rd respectively. StickIt1Racing Modified Series finale – Report Posted: 10 Aug 2020 06:33 AM PDT The final round of the StickIt1Racing Modified Series was held at PDX Underground in Portland, Oregon this past weekend. In 2WD Mod Buggy to was Ryan Reavis (Team Associated) with the win from Jeff Phelps (TLR) in 2nd. Joe Pillars (Yokomo) came in 3rd overall from Joseph Johnson 4th and Roger Seim in 5th. Overall in the championship it was also Ryan with the win as Joe followed in the runner-up spot, just a single point behind as Joseph (Yokomo) finished the season sitting in 3rd overall. Over in the 4WD Mod Buggy class Daniel Jeppesen would finish the final round in 1st as Cole Hegar (Y0komo) and Jim Meyer followed in 2nd and 3rd. Overall it would be Xray driver Jim with the title from John Copeland (Yokomo) 2nd and Daniel Jeppesen (Xray) in 3rd. Bryce Butterfield wins at KO Propo GP Posted: 10 Aug 2020 05:51 AM PDT Last weekend’s KO Propo Grand Prix was hosted by the Steel City RC Speedway in Fontana, California last weekend, attracting 124 entries. While JJ Wang took the win in the 200mm Nitro Sedan class, it was Bryce Butterfield with the win in the 1/8th Open category. Coming from P6 on the grid, Bryce took the lead in the closing stages, leaving behind veteran racer, Joel Johnson in 2nd and 7th place qualifier, Walter Diaz in 3rd. Ollie Payne wins at King Of Clubs Series Rd2 Posted: 10 Aug 2020 04:24 AM PDT The second round of the UK King Of Clubs Series was held this past weekend at Eastbourne ECC. In Touring 13.5T Blinky it was Ollie Payne with the win in the A-final some twelve seconds in front of Morgan Williams. Charlie Colby came in 3rd overall already a lap down as Liam Hendy and Daniel Moorey finished in 4th and 5th respectively. The Modified class A-main saw Elliott Harper with the win from Ben Moorey in 2nd and Chris Grainger in 3rd. Harley Eldridge came in 4th, Adrian Bidewell completed the top 5 result. Over in 17.5T Touring it was Billy Fletcher with the win from Jay Westwood on the runner-up spot. Mark Trinder, Shaun Batt and Matt Quinlisk rounded out the top 5. Last but not least and in the FWD class it was Nathan Parker with the win from Jak Sansom and Tristan Willby. Stuart Colby and Remo Casadei came in 4th and 5th place respectively. Jessica Palsson wins at Middle Swedish Cup Rd1 Posted: 10 Aug 2020 03:56 AM PDT The opening round of the Middle Swedish Cup was hosted by the Skövde MK club this past weekend. In the Nitro Buggy class, that attracted nearly 50 entries, it was swift Jessica Palsson (Agama/Bullitt/AKA) with the overall TQ from Pontus Larsson (Serpent/Performa/Sweep) in 2nd and Emil Magnusson (Kyosho/O.S./AKA) in 3rd. The 30-minute A-main event saw Jessica taking the win with a one-lap margin from Pontus Larsson in 2nd while Emil Magnusson came in 3rd, another 15 seconds behind. Kristian Johansson (HB Racing/O.S./Sweep) and Nils Gustafsson (Team Associated/O.S./Sweep) rounded out the top 5.
