JConcepts Bounty Hunters 3.93” Scale Truck tyre Posted: 23 Jul 2020 08:12 AM PDT Another new scale and trail truck tyre from JConcepts is the Bounty Hunters 3.93” outer diameter tyre. Performing outside the normal constraints, the Bounty Hunters tyre boasts a dual angular and mirrored centre lug combination. The tight group tread with squiggle cuts and carved out sections conform to hard surfaces for driving speed and low rolling resistance. The professional tyre has a spread of lugs that provides forward grip for steady climbs and knit sections for great scale looks. The sidewall of the tyre has built-in puzzle sections, notched, and matched up to the centre section to steady the side-bite and pitch traction. Placed into the side, a JC detail has been added for decoration but also spaced to continue momentum in tricky situations. The sculptured side-lug and incised grooves align to form a flat carcass giving the tyre a scale and high performing spirit. The lower sidewall features radial ribs and vertical hatching to maintain space in a tight squeeze. The flexibility of the green compound combined with the lug arrangement gives the tyre a grippy feel but still maintains that all important scale and performance look. The 3.93” overall height provides plenty of ground clearance for Class 1 competition. An abundance of terrain looks up to the bossed side-wall logos which read with beauty and balance. The tyres include a medium, spiked open cell foam insert capable of standing up to the super soft compound but flexible enough for sharp terrain. JConcepts Landmines 4.19” Scale Country tyre Posted: 23 Jul 2020 08:05 AM PDT JConcepts have introduced their all-new Landmines Scale Country Class 1 performance scale tyre. The Landmines, developed over a 2-year period of testing, tuning and analysis have reached the summit and now available to the crawling enthusiast. The design starts with a robust carcass carefully shaped and sized for a multitude of conditions and capable of completing those difficult courses while being down-to-earth enough to carry a scale appearance. The team spent considerable time with the split-block centre design which has been sliced, stepped, and recessed for flexibility and contortion over sharp, loose, and polished surfaces. The Landmines have alternating solid and cavity pads which is ideal for transitioning from smooth dirt or pavement into dirt, mud, and rocky terrain. Moving towards the edges of the carcass, the scaling tyre has horizontal grippy pads with edge and channels to provide additional forward climbing bite. Down within the tread, a lightning pattern, knob plots and connector bars pull the design together to work together at shallow and deep sinking positions. Once power is applied to the vehicle, the tread spacing opens which allows for deep digging, making it a great working tyre in dirt and muddy conditions. As the tread rolls down the sidewall, a whole new course of tread and side-lugging is applied. A grippy radial ring provides a consistent rubber contact patch in pinched conditions while in the vertical plane, new traction bars alternate between angular and island mapping for squeeze grip. The flexibility of the green compound combined with the lug arrangement gives the tyre a grippy feel but still maintains that all important scale and performance look. The 4.19” overall height provides plenty of ground clearance for an abundance of terrain and bossed side-wall logos read with beauty and balance. The tyres include a medium, spiked open cell foam insert capable of standing up to the super soft compound but flexible enough for sharp terrain. RDRP B6.2 +3mm LCG 7075 aluminium chassis Posted: 23 Jul 2020 07:48 AM PDT Available now from Revolution Design Racing Products is the +3mm aluminium chassis for the ultra-popular Team Associated B6.2 2WD buggy. It offers an optimised length for an easier to drive car especially in high-bite track conditions such as EOS carpet and astro turf, allowing to pull faster single laps while offering greater consistency at the same time. The chassis has the same wheelbase specification as the AE91850 B6.2 +3mm chassis and it is machined of aircraft-grade 7075 aluminium for strength and optimised flex characteristics while the black anodised surface ensures high durability and factory looks. Machined silver edge details and laser-etched logos ensure surface protection on the track and visual impact in the pits. What makes the chassis also stand out is a new low-profile motor position that is accessible through a cut out in the chassis and the included 7075-T6 motor plate. Both the chassis and motor plate work exclusively with the laydown gearbox and in addition to the low profile motor position, the main plate also uses a lowered battery position for an even lower overall centre of gravity and cool looks with machined slots left and right of the battery pack compartment. The chassis is compatible with most “under servo” and “under electronics” weight sets.
