FTX Hi-Rock/Fury portal axle conversion kit Posted: 07 Jul 2020 07:03 AM PDT FTX have introduced their new portal axle conversion kit for the Hi-Rock and Fury trail trucks. Creating an increase in distance between the axle housing and the ground for improved clearance, the portal drives also feature a different drive ratio that improves the crawling performance over obstacles via each wheel. The axles feature all alloy axle housings, painted alloy diff covers, CNC machined steering knuckles, front CVA driveshafts, CNC C-hubs, CNC portal housing and CNC steering bar. Heavy duty hardened, drive gears are used throughout and all shafts are ball bearing supported. A Panhard bar finishes off the set. The conversion can also be mounted on the Element RC Enduro platform if the steering bar is mounted at the front. Posted: 07 Jul 2020 06:40 AM PDT The second round of the MR Cup was held at the Brno track in the Czech Republic last weekend. The event saw free practice on Friday followed by timed practice, qualifying and finals on Saturday. In the premier Electric Touring Open class it was all about Matěj Šulc and Jirka Vyšín. Jirka managed to take the TQ spot in front of Matěj and Radko Černohous. In the finals Matěj could pass Jirka to take two of the three mains as Radko completed the podium. Touring Modified top 5 result: In Touring Pro Stock it was Radko Černohous who took all qualifiers and the triple wins in the finals followed by Petr Wittgruber and Martin Janíček. Touring Pro Stock top 5 result: In the Formula class Lukas Hoch was dominating all day long with no competition from the other drivers. Lukas won all qualifiers and two finals to take the win in front of Svetlin Douhlevski and Martin Janíček. Aleš Horák and Dušan Bayer completed the top 5 result. Formula top 5 result: In World GT 10.5T it was Daniel Urban who would walk away with the silverware as Marek Helbich and Radek Prochazka came in 2nd and 3rd respectively. Finally in Pro10 GT it was again Daniel Urban with the win as Marek Fric and Marcel Dostal rounded out the top 3. Tekno ET410.2 1/10th 4WD electric truggy kit Posted: 07 Jul 2020 04:48 AM PDT Tekno RC have unveiled their new ET410.2 1/10th scale 4WD electric truggy kit. Tekno RC redefined the 1/10th scale truck in terms of enjoyment and versatility when they introduced the ET410 1/10th 4WD competition electric truggy in 2018. By including many of the design features of the EB410 1/10th 4WD buggy, the ET410 was fast and fun right out of the box. It quickly became a fan favourite due to its versatility and performance on a wide variety of tracks. It could be raced on a small indoor track, then with very few setup changes, you could run it on a large outdoor track with rough surfaces and huge jumps. Now with the ET410.2, Tekno have taken the emerging 1/10th scale 4WD truck class to a new level. The ET410.2 includes all of the durability and handling improvements of the EB410.2, such as the taller one-piece adjustable wing mount, adjustable roll centre rear hubs, 3.5mm hinge pins, and HD hinge pin braces. Tekno also includes stronger HD outdrives, new rear arms with front-mounted shocks, as well as brand-new 18-degree low roll centre spindle carriers to smooth the steering response while improving corner speed. Also part of the package are new spindles with adjustable Ackermann plates to allow more precise tuning of corner entry and exit characteristics. The kit will become available by mid-July. The Vortex features deep ribs down both sides for added stability, which should also increase corner speed. Combined with the vertical sides it gives it a striking and unique look, making the body a great tuning tool for a variety of track conditions. The lid is available in standard 0.75mm and lightweight 0.5mm variants, complete with window masks, trim lines and overspray film. In the Nitro Buggy class it was HB Racing pilot, Graham Alsop who would excel as the work the TQ and win a lap in front of Edward Callan (Xray). Adam Hall (HB Racing) came in 3rd overall after the 20-minute A-main, another lap down. Joe Bornhorst doubles at Beans RC Nitro Nights Posted: 07 Jul 2020 03:09 AM PDT Beans RC of Sherrodsville, Ohio held their Nitro Nights race on the 4th of July. In the Nitro Buggy class it was Tekno RC’s Joe Bornhorst with the overall win, taking the victory in the 45-minute A-main with a 1-lap margin from Agama’s Tyler Jones in 2nd. Xray’s Adam Johnson came in 3rd overall, another lap down. Over in the single 10-minute A-main event it was again Joe Bornhorst with the overall win as Adam Johnson came in 2nd overall. Jimmy Qian wins RCI V2 touring car race Posted: 07 Jul 2020 02:40 AM PDT The RCI V2 indoor facility in Shanghai, China held an electric touring car race last weekend, attracting drivers to compete in a single 13.5T touring class. Jimmy Qian took the overall TQ and with wins in A1 and A3 he also snatched the overall win from A2 2inner, Simon Wang in 2nd. Hua came in 3rd overall to round out the top 3 result. The links are a direct fit with the standard SCX10 III rod ends and support the 312mm wheelbase setting. They are machined from high-quality titanium, are of a high-clearance design for improve ground clearance, and they come with laser-engraved position markings, making building and maintenance a lot easier.
