Roche Rapide P12 Evo -0.5mm centre pivot mount

Roche have introduced a new option part for the P12 Evo 1/12th scale pan car kit in the form of a -0.5mm lower centre pivot mount. The set includes a centre pivot mount machined from Delrin material for smooth suspension movement while the matching pivot ball mount is made of black anodised aluminium. Both parts are compatible with the optional sliding design lower pod plate and due to their -0.5mm roll centre specification, they make for increased rear end stability and reduced steering in the middle and exit of a corner.

Samix SCX10 III adjustable weight brass diff cover

Coming from Samix and made for the Axial SCX10 III trail truck is a new adjustable weight brass differential cover. The lid is machined from heavy brass material and replaces the original item, adding strength and weight if desired. The cover weighs in at 47g, however by using an additional C-shaped weight, another 5g can be added to further up overall weight and thus traction. The cover fits with the front and rear axle housings and it is available from now on.

Yeah Racing 1/8th on-road wheel well marker

Coming from Yeah Racing is a multi-functional wheel well marker for 1/8th scale on-road cars. Made of carbon fibre and aluminium the tool allows for easy marking of 68mm IC track front, 76mm IC Track rear, and 105mm GT wheel wells, ensuring repeatable results every time. To mark the wheel wells, simply place the tool outside the body shell with the wheel nut as the centre point and draw the respective wheel well using a permanent marker. The included aluminium struts help keeping the jig in an upright position. The design also includes holes to mark the lower body height in 9mm to 15mm positions.

Tyler Jones TQs & wins at Saturday Series Rd1

The Jax Trax RC Raceway of Union City, Indiana held round 1 of their Saturday Series this past weekend, attracting nearly 90 entries for the 1/8th off-road and 1/10th Pro4 classes. In the premier Nitro Buggy class it was Agama’s Tyler Jones with the overall TQ and the young man would also come out swinging after the 20-minute A-main event as he lead from tone to tone to take the win from Mugen’s Collin Weatherholt in 2nd and Tekno RC’s Brandon Hogan in 3rd.

SS Sunday Off-road Racing Series – Report

SS Hobbies & Raceway of Tampa, Florida hosted a round of their SS Sunday Off-road Racing Series this past weekend. The event was held in several 1/10th scale electric classes and in 2WD Buggy it was Lee Setser with the win in the single 5-minute A-main event from John Lawson in 2nd, already a lap down, and Kenny Setser in 3rd, another 0.4 seconds behind.

4WD Buggy saw Deric Llano taking the win by a narrow 0.9 seconds from Mark Croxford in 2nd and William Godwin in 3rd.

Jaimie Love would walk away with the win in the Stadium Truck category, leaving being William Godwin in 2nd, a lap down and Steve Hollibaugh in 3rd.

The 4WD Stadium Truck A-main was won by Deric Llano a lap in front of Mike Rimar as Bob Damico came in 3rd.

Coming from Trion are their new 5800mAh standard size and 4550mAh shorty LCG LiHV battery packs. Starting with the 5800mAh 7.6V standard size pack, the battery measures 138x47x19.5mm and it weighs in at 235g, making it ideal for modified and stock racing classes alike. The hardcase battery is equipped with 5mm through-type connectors, allowing to access the connector tubes from both sides and it is built using high-quality 120C cells for exceptional power supply even in power-hungry classes.

Also new is the 4500mAh 7.6V shorty battery pack that measures 96x47x20mm and that weighs in at 164g. Like the above battery it is built using high-quality 120C cells and utilises through-type 5mm tube-type connectors and a protective, black colour hardcase.

Available now from Konect is their K1 Elite 540-size electric brushless motor. It utilises a new and unique stator design for improved torque and high RPM while a special stator coating ensures optimised heat dissipation and surface corrosion resistance. High-purity Copper windings ensure maximised conductivity which further adds to the overall performance. The CNC-machined Billet T6 can sports heavy machining for best possible airflow inside the motor and thus lower operation temperatures while accurately mounted sensors, ensure best possible performance. Lam Cheung Tat wins at Tainan Nitro GT race

The Taiwanese city of Tainan hosted an 1/8th GT Nitro race this past weekend. When the dust had settled after the A-main event it was Lam Cheung Tat with the overall win from Hisang on the runner-up spot. Lin Zhifeng came in 3rd overall to round out the podium result.

Xpress XQ10 & FT1 XOC rear toe control system

Available now from Xpress and made for the XQ10 and FT1 touring cars is the new V2 variant of their Xpress On-Power Control System XOC. The reactive rear toe control system was developed to change car behaviour at the corner apex by adding or removing toe from the rear wheels during chassis roll and thus suspension compression. The finely adjustable system can add in-corner stability or rotation if desired and it is easily adjustable. The set is usable with the Xpress Execute XQ1, XQ1S, FT1, FT1S, and XQ10 kits and it includes specially cut hard composite arms that allow for the same wheelbase adjustments as the regular non-XOC rear arms. Also included are red anodised aluminium rear steering hub knuckles, 3mm suspension pins and mounting hardware.

Wiggins & Tebo successful at Thornhill club race

Thornhill Racing Circuit of Hutto, Texas held a well-attended club race this past weekend, pretty much the only allowed form of racing these days. The event attracted over 100 entries including some of the country’s fastest off-road racers. In the Nitro Buggy class it was Ethan Lefebvre (Xray) with the overall TQ from Jared Tebo (Tekno) in 2nd. The 30-minute A-main final however brought a somewhat different result with 5th place qualifier, Tekno RC’s Jared Wiggins taking the win by about three seconds from 6th place qualifier, Dillon Caldwell (HB Racing) on the runner-up spot. Top qualifier, Ethan Lefebvre had to recover from being dead-last about mid-race due to fuel problems, but he ultimately managed to round out the top 3 result.

The E-Buggy class saw top qualifier, Tekno RC’s Jared Tebo make a clean sweep by taking both A-mains for the overall from 2nd place qualifier, Xray’s Ethan Lefebvre in 2nd and 3rd place qualifier, Tekno RC’s Tyler Hooks in 3rd.
