JConcepts L8D “decked” late model body shell Posted: 16 Apr 2020 01:46 PM PDT JConcepts is following up with a new trend on the Dirt Oval scene with the “decked” version of the L8 night body. Late model vehicles are among the highest class of stock car vehicles in the United States and specialize in wheel to wheel racing while bringing the crowd to its feet. The 10” wide body capable of a drop-fit on an assortment of Late Model chassis, the body styling starts up front with a heavily dropped nose pointing the vehicle in the correct direction. Super tall “power rails” line the front fenders allowing corner tracking stability. The “deck” treatment starts with a mock driver cockpit, then multiple cut-in lovers strengthen the deck while an inner transition starts giving the L8D an inner spoiler to ramp up with. The offset, and separate cab bolts into position with included hardware and once positioned, provides the high-speed through-all stability with open wind shield and rear window design. An asymmetrical designed cab for high-speed left turning has the built-in ability to trim-out the front, rear and side windows for scale appearance and performance. The rear jump window can be left in place, made clear with included window masks for added deflection and to strengthen the cab. The flat rear deck incorporates indented channels promoting flow upward to the large rear spoiler and side-dams. The innovative side-panels of the body feature recessed sections, this accomplishes a multitude of design goals in the process. First, the side pockets increase the rigidness of the panel giving one of the highest aero elements of the body stability at speed and in risky maneuvering situations. Increased resiliency also works to minimize body tucking and helps maintain a healthy distance from wheel well to tire. Centered in the bonnet, a protection shroud for the mock air cleaner chiseled into the hood of the new body looks very “Late Model.” Included in each package, the pre-trimmed rear spoiler with hardware is one of the most trick items on the market. The slotted side-dams are ready to go and feature an adjustment section of 3 positions for the rear spoiler angle. The rear spoiler is cut, bent and ready to position on the back of the body with the included 9 pieces of light-weight hardware. The high-performance JConcepts body shell includes clear main-body and detached and separate cab with trim-able windows. High-quality window mask, instruction and decal sheet is also included. Axial RR10 Bomber 2.0 RTR trail truck Posted: 16 Apr 2020 01:46 AM PDT Horizon Hobby have introduced the new Axial RR10 Bomber 2.0 ready-to-run trail truck. For the original RR10 Bomber 4WD RTR, Axial partnered with Bomber Fabrication owner and two-time King of Hammers rock racing champion Randy Slawson to create a new level of 1/10 scale rock racing rig built on the fast, durable Axial full tube chassis. Now that rig is set to continue its dominance with new electronics from Spektrum and Dynamite brands. Also, in addition to the Randy Slawson Bomber updated livery, a second option is available with Savvy Offroad Bomber livery. The Randy Slawson version includes Trail Ready beadlock wheels wrapped with BF Goodrich Baja T/S KR3 tires, while the Savvy Offroad Bomber comes with Raceline beadlock wheels wrapped with Falken Wildpeak M/T tires. Standard features in both Bomber versions are the scale tube chassis; durable front and rear WB8 HD Wildboar driveshafts; dual slipper clutch; Hi-Lo transmission with all-metal internal gears; and realistic scale details including molded driver figures, three pairs of helmets, molded shock reservoirs and more. True, 4-wheel drive locked differentials are included for dependable traction. The offset pumpkin of the AR60 OCP-Axle increases ground clearance and provides a better driveshaft angle. Thanks to the forward-mounted, easy access battery tray, you can access the adjustable battery compartment simply by removing two body clips to release the front hood. The compartment offers plenty of room to secure 2S or 3S LiPo batteries. The updated RR10 Bomber RTR package’s new Spektrum DX3 radio uses exclusive DSMR technology for superior range, response, and interference resistance. The DX3 transmitter’s integrated thumb steering option makes it possible to steer one-handed safely and precisely. Both the transmitter and the supplied SR315 3-channel receiver are fully compatible with Spektrum Smart technology. The 15kg Spektrum S614 servo includes metal gears and a metal servo horn for strong, reliable steering. Like the receiver, the servo is waterproof for running in any conditions, rain or shine. The included 3S LiPo capable Dynamite AE-5L ESC with IC3 connectors features adjustable drag brake and a light controller with dual LED outputs to accommodate the new LED headlights and tail lights. The RR10 Bomber rock racer now features two forward-facing white LEDs, two white LEDs on the front for rock lights, and a new rear LED light bar with two red LEDs.
