H2 Racing Development TRF420 mid motor conversion

Coming soon from H2 Racing Development is a mid motor conversion kit for the Tamiya TRF420 touring car. The conversion features a true mid motor design with longer rear and a shorter front belt which ensures quick acceleration and a more responsive handling. The set includes a 2.5mm main chassis and 2.0mm upper deck, both machined from Japanese Torayca T300 pure carbon fibre as well as Japanese MBL belts. The conversion utilises the standard TRF20 motor mount and it will become available by mid-January 2020.

SWorkz black pit mat

Coming from SWorkz is their new black colour pit mat. Due to its dark colour the pit mat is a lot less sensitive to becoming unsightly over time while being more neutral in combinations with other pit accessory colours. The rollable pit mat measures 90x60cm and it is available from now on.

Awesomatix roll out new optionals

Awesomatix have announced the release of new option parts for their line of touring cars. First up is the HRB horizontal rear bodypost set that was developed to lower the overall centre of gravity. The set mimics the design found on the A800FX FWD touring car and improves the handling and corner speed of the 4WD A800 kits which leads to faster lap times. Furthermore the body shell will become more stiff in the rear end section and thus has less deflection at high speeds. The HRB set fits all A800 models besides the A800FX.

Next up is the BAS belt anti skip set that was designed specifically for modified racing with high power output motors or when running in high bite track conditions. The set will support the rear belt with an additional ball bearing and prevents the belt from skipping in every possible scenario. The BAS set only fits the AM177 motor mount. Also new is the AM105H MMX 30g rear stiffener, a heavier variant of the AM105. It adds a total of 30g and is usable with all mid-motor chassis. Last but not last come the OR14V suspension arm O-rings. They are designed to replace the P07 arm clip with the main advantages being less weight, more reliability and, in certain conditions, more grip due to increased elasticity in the suspension action.

Klinik RC Xd 3.5mm titanium turnbuckles

Klinik RC have intruded their newest Xd titanium turnbuckles, designed for Xtreme Duty applications. As speeds and grip continue to increase, the need for a stronger turnbuckle becomes necessary. Machined from solid billet grade 5 6Al4v titanium, the 3.5mm diameter turnbuckles are the goto in high-stress applications. They fit the Schumacher Cat L1/L1 Evo and Cougar Laydown and included with the Xd turnbuckle set comes a 1/8” drill bit to slightly enlarge the opening of the standard Schumacher ball cups.

SpeeDome-RC T4’2020 carbon fibre bumper brace

Coming from SpeeDome-RC is a carbon fibre bumper brace for the Xray T4 2020 touring car. Machined from 4mm high-quality material the bumper brace will protect the front of the chassis in the event of a crash as the part will brace itself against the front bulkheads, ensuring only minimal movement of the lower front bumper mount and thus taking away stress from the very front of the chassis. The CNC-machined bumper brace includes two M3x10mm titanium screws and it is a direct fit.

T-Works roll out new X3 GTS optionals

T-Works have announced the release of new optional parts for the Hong Nor X3 GTS kit. First up is a titanium turnbuckle set made of high-quality 64 grade titanium. Included are six camber and steering link turnbuckles as well as a steering servo link and two wrenches that allow for easy building and adjustment. Using the titanium links over the standard parts will lower the overall wight while adding rigidity and visual impact. Also new is a precision ball bearing set that includes ball races with rubber and metal-shields for high durability while still ensuring low natural drivetrain drag. Last but not least comes a 158-piece 64 grade UFO head titanium screw kit and a 170-piece gold-colour steel screw set. The titanium fasteners allow to scrub some weight and add rigidity while the steel screw set mainly adds visual impact and corrosion resistance.

SMJ GG magnifying glass with LED light

SMJ have introduced their new GG magnifying glass that comes in handy when handling small and very small parts. It offers two different lenses for 250 percent or 800 percent magnification with two LED lights further brightening up things, making the tool ideal to inspect glow plugs and other small accessories that profit from a very detailed inspection. The self-supporting glass can be used as a table or clip-on light, ensuring the modeller can still use both hands.
