Roche P12 Evo World’s Limited Edition Conversion Kit

Posted: 24 Dec 2019 04:27 AM PST

Coming from Roche and made for their World Championship winning Rapide P12 1/12th pan car platform is the World’s Limited Edition Conversion Kit. Developed with the forthcoming 2020 IFMAR Worlds in mind, the set includes the optional aluminium motor mount set designed by UK factory driver Ollie Payne. The new design motor mount is not only much stronger but also lighter and it offers a lower centre of gravity, meaning the car carries much more corner speed and it is easier to drive in high traction conditions. Also includes in the aluminium lower pod set. The new lower pod plates amend the weight balancing when running a solid axle, offering easier acceleration and constant driving feeling. The new “sliding” pivot block and pivot ball mount made by Derlin and 7075 aluminium are more reliable, whilst also creating more traction, again making for a more consistent and easy to drive car.

Stafford & Fletcher TQ & win at Rd3 of EssexCarpetClash

Posted: 24 Dec 2019 04:15 AM PST

Last weekend saw round 3 of the ever popular winter series at Essex Carpet Clash in the South East of the UK. With another fully booked entry list, there was a high standard of drivers in attention racing for the last time before Christmas, and this made for some close racing throughout the day. The track was fast and flowing with many enjoying what had been laid out for the day ahead. Round by round qualifying saw drivers battle it out to take the best score they could to line up for their final.

After qualifying it was Billy Fletcher, who hadn’t raced a buggy for a couple of years showing that he was still able to fight at the top, that lined up pole position in 4WD. The popular 2WD class saw a number of drivers split on points, only to be decided on their best run time. Top honours went to Ellis Stafford followed by Kyle Moon.

2WD and pole man Stafford was able to capitalise on this fact, taking both leg 1 and 2 and with that the overall meeting. Moon made sure Stafford didn’t get the full 3 legs and took the win in the last leg, only by crossing the line a split second before, giving him 2nd overall. Nathan Ralls had been up in the mix in all three finals, and would complete the podium in 3rd.

Fletcher seemed to have this in the bag having taken leg one, but having made a mistake in the 2nd leg, he only finished in the 2 spot behind Mark Lewis. The 3rd leg , and Fletcher drove away from the pack taking the leg and the over all. Lewis finished 2nd overall, with John Painter have decent runs completing the podium in 3rd overall.

XactRC Traction Juice Bottles

Posted: 24 Dec 2019 12:34 AM PST

Coming from XactRC are their new traction compound bottles that can be filled with your choice of traction juice. The ergonomics of the 4oz bottle is just the right size for small or large hands and the translucent material allows for easy checking of how much sauce is remaining, its cleanliness or type of solution. The bottle is available with two replaceable tips. First is the replaceable brush tip that is specifically designed for off-road use. With the brush tip, drovers no longer have to use both a sauce bottle to apply then use a separate brush to apply. This is ideal for those who are tired of having their hands dirty from different tyre sauces and chemicals. Second is the replaceable sponge tip that is ideal for on-road racers, or anyone using slicks or very low pin tyres. The triangle shape of the sponge allows for applying the sauce in a controlled manner and in a straight line on the tyre and not the sidewalls. The tips are also available separately.

Dominic Greiner leaves Serpent

Posted: 24 Dec 2019 12:16 AM PST

In a message on social media, Dominic Greiner has announced his departure from long-time chassis sponsor Serpent. The 2016 IFMAR World and reigning EFRA 1/10th Nitro Touring European Champion leaves behind a very fruitful 7-year campaign that also had its downs, such as running into mechanical troubles while leading during the closing stages of the 2019 IFMAR 1/8th IC Track Worlds final. Dominic for now leaves open what is next for him, and in the meantime he has the following to say:

[…] I must inform that my cooperation with Serpent will end this year. I had a couple of sleepless nights after the world championship, but when I look back the 7 years, in the end I had more bad luck as luck, and lost my motivation step by step. I was even thought about to stop with rc racing, because it is a hard job to be competitive all the time as a semi professional driver with a normal job and limited time to test. But in maybe the best time in my career I want to continue and for that I decided to choose an another car brand for new motivation and a new challenge at least the next two years. I want to thank all the people which were involved in the last 7 years and gave me the opportunity to become one of the best nitro rc driver in the world. Jirka Hassler, Ronald Baar, Michael Salven, Jill Salven, Joaquin Desoto and Mr Lau. I know I was not every time a easy driver, but in the end I guess we did a great job together.

Hey guys. Let´s take a look back on the 2019 season. For me it was overall a very good season. Overall 3rd in the ENS series with the new 989, made the euro A final, and was close to win the 1:8 world championship in Fontana in my not favourite class. The highlight for sure was my first ever european championship title with the 750 at my hometrack in Tuerkheim. I would say the last 7 years, when I choose Serpent as my chassis sponsor, we were able to be competitive at all races we attend. At my first ever world championship in Thailand I took the TQ and finished overall 3rd after a mistake by myself. Two years later I´ve won my first world championship title. I drove in total 5 world championships and was 4 times in the A-main.

In the ENS series I had a lot of bad luck. I could win some single races, but never the overall season. One time on tie points with the first position. We improved the cars every year, and worked as team well together, for sure without this great team effort some good results were not possible. Thanks a lot to all the guys which were involved in this time.

But life is changing. So I must inform that my cooperation with serpent will end this year.
