Absima universal transmitter hardcase Posted: 18 Nov 2019 07:31 AM PST Absima have introduced their new universal transmitter hardcase bag that can be adapted for most pistol grip radios on the market. Measuring a total of 350x250x150mm and sporting inner dimensions of 320x220x130mm the hardcase bag is equipped with a pre-cut inner foam whose small blocks can be taken out to adapt the foam to pretty much every transmitter size and shape. The lid of the hardcase is equipped with zipped net inserts that allow to store accessories or manuals and a detachable belt rounds out the package. Florida Nitro Series Rd2 – Report Posted: 18 Nov 2019 06:53 AM PST Race 2 of the Florida Nitro Series as held at the Arcadia-based Nugget’s Ranch Raceway this past weekend in pretty low temperatures. In the 1/8th Pro class it was Bobby Horan with the win in the 30-minute A-main event, some two seconds in front of Tony Rice as Rafael Angulo completed a very close top 3 finish just two seconds behind Tony. 1/8th Open would see Jim Rice taking the win with a 3-laps margin on Rob Crawford as Bill McLean came in 3rd, another lap down. GT8 saw Avery Pierce walking away with the silverware some three laps in front of Angel Santiago as top qualifier, Massimo Fabiani had to settle for 3rd overall. In 1/10th Sedan Eduardo Cabal brought hime the win some three laps in front of Dorian Tisdale as Timmy Desantis completed the top 3 result a lap behind Dorian. Nicholas Lee takes Indonesian Touring Mod title Posted: 18 Nov 2019 05:27 AM PST The Indonesian Touring Car Championship was held in Jakarta this past weekend. In the Touring Modified class it was Yokomo’s Nicholas Lee with the overall TQ from Bowie Ginting, Izzah M., and Ronny Suwarto, all of which scored at least one round TQ. After the triple A-main events it was still Nicholas on top as he won A1 and A2 for an early overall as the Infinity duo of Peter Antonijzs and Izzah M. came in 2nd and 3rd respectively. Yusuke Sugiura crowned JMRCA Nitro Buggy Champion Posted: 18 Nov 2019 04:02 AM PST The Futaba Buggy Track in Ichihara, Japan hosted the 2019 JMRCA 1/8th Buggy National Championships. Mugen’s Yusuke Sugiura grabbed the overall top qualifier spot and he would also walk away with the title after the main final, securing his third consecutive national Nitro Buggy title. Yusuke left behind his Mugen teammates, Kouki Kato and Kenji Tsuruta in 2nd and 3rd respectively. Michele Manzo TQs & wins at Swiss Indoor Champs Rd1 Posted: 18 Nov 2019 03:53 AM PST The opening round of the Swiss Electric Indoor Nationals was held at the FAMA track in Bulle this past weekend. In Touring Modified it was Awesomatix’s Michele Manzo with a clean sweep in the qualifiers, leaving behind Claude Hollinger in 2nd after the four rounds. The triple A-mains then again saw Michele checking out in all three legs for the overall win from Team Magic’s Philipp Huber 2nd and HB Racing’s Kevin Zwahlen in 3rd. SARDA National EP Off-road Championship Rd4 – Report Posted: 18 Nov 2019 02:13 AM PST The Ultra Raceway of Pretoria, South Africa was host to the 4th and final round of the SARDA National Electric Off-road Championship last weekend. Track was very challenging with a good mixture of open high speed and tight technical sections and also adding to the challenge was its bumpy high grip carpet surface while rocketing temperatures also made it tricky. All this provided the drivers with some of the most exciting racing seen this year with everyone hunting the top step of the podium. The top qualifiers would be Hein Kotze in 2WD Modified, Charles Hollander in 4WD Modified, Wikus Coetzer in Stadium Trucks and 2WD Short Course Trucks as well as Ian Cloud in 2WD Stock and Shaun Haasbroek in 4WD Stock. When the dust had settled after the A-mains, it was Charles Hollander with the win in 2WD Mod Buggy from Hein Kotze in 2nd and Abri Kohn inn 3rd. 4WD Modified Buggy saw Charles Hollander defending his top position, leading the way from Abri Kohn 2nd and Hein Kotze in 3rd. In the Stadium Truck class it was Wikus Coetzer with the day’s win from Kevin Rousseau 2nd and Wikus van den Berg in 3rd. 2WD SC Trucks again saw Wikus Coetzer on top as Wikus van den Berg and Jeffrey Smal rounded out the top 3 results. In 2WD Stock Ian Cloud brought home the silverware from Wikus Coetzer 2nd and Darren Duggan in 3rd. Finally in the 4WD Stock class it was Shaun Haasbroek with the overall from Jan Venter and Charles Hudson in 2nd and 3rd respectively. Thanks to Darryn Hill for the update. Jonathan Skidmore wins Slough Winter Series Rd2 Posted: 18 Nov 2019 01:40 AM PST Round 2 of the Slough Winter Series took place at the Remote World Model Car Club in Slough this past weekend. Held in low traction conditions it was Agama/Bullitt’s Jonathan Skidmore who made the best out of it, taking the TQ and also the win in the 20-minute main final, leaving behind his brother William (Agama/Bullitt) in 2nd while Simon Reeves (HB Racing/Reds Racing) came in 3rd, a lap short of Joni and William. Agama/Bullitt’s Jon Hazlewood lost what looked like a secured 3rd place finish due to some mishaps and had to settle for 4th overall. Spannbruckner wins FWD class at Mibosport Cup Rd2 Posted: 18 Nov 2019 01:20 AM PST The second round of this season’s Mibosport Cup was held in Hrotovice, Czech Republic this past weekend. In the popular FWD Touring car class it was Alexander Mayer with the overall TQ after winning two of the three qualifiers. Werner Spannbruckner, who secured a single round TQ, came in 2nd from Christian Schmid 3rd. In A1 and A2 Werner Spannbruckner, who piloted Rebellion-RC’s forthcoming Xray T4 FWD conversion, was able to get past the leader to secure himself the overall win from FastForward/Rebellion-RC driver, Alex Mayer in 2nd. Xray’s Tomas Liptak came in 3rd to round out the podium in front of Lukas Hoch and Roman Fiby. Maifield & Kaiho win at RC Magazine Off-road Challenge Posted: 18 Nov 2019 12:54 AM PST The iconic Yatabe Arena in Tsukuba, Japan hosted the 2019 Radio Control Magazine Off-Road Challenge Cup this past weekend, attracting both national and international drivers. In 2WD Modified Buggy it was Yokomo’s Ryan Maifield who would take the overall TQ and he also walked away with the win after the A-main, leaving behind Yokomo’s Kaito Kodera and Nana Kaiho in 2nd and 3rd respectively. Over in 4WD Modified Buggy it was Yokomo’s Lee Martin with the overall TQ, however he just got edged out on the finish line by Nana Kaiho. Lee would end the race on the 2 spot and in front of teammate, Kaito Kodera.
