| Xray Racing Series Slovenia Rd1 – Report Posted: 13 Nov 2019 07:20 AM PST The opening round of the Xray Racing Series Slovenia was held at the Genius Ring track in Medeuzza, Italy. In the Touring 13.5T Stock class it was Nejc Mihelic with the overall TQ while the Formula class was top qualified by Matej Dobnikar. After the Touring A-mains it was still Nejc on the top spot, leaving behind Viktor Bolsec who came all the way from P6 on the grid. Bjan Miklozic would round out an all-Xray top 3 podium result. The Formula A-main win went to TQ driver Matej Dobnikar, followed by Herfried Pucher and Arno Webernig in 2nd and 3rd respectively. The next race was planned to be held in Maribor, but unfortunately the track will no longer be in existence at that date so the venue for the second round will again be the Genius Ring track in Medeuzza, but this time the driving direction will be clockwise to make things more challenging. | Schumacher Indoor Off Road Masters Rd2 – Report Posted: 13 Nov 2019 04:50 AM PST This past weekend was the second round of the hugely popular Worksop Series and there was once again a huge entry of drivers across all classes of 2WD, 4WD, 2WD stadium truck and the Vintage Buggy class. As always it was round by round qualifying as the racing format, with the best two results from four rounds of qualifying counting towards the final position. The control tyre in the buggy classes is the Schumacher yellow Honeycomb, this works superbly well at Worksop. The track layout was superb, it was a fast layout but there were also many jumps and features in the track which everyone enjoyed. Qualifying in 2WD saw a dominating performance by Neil Cragg, taking TQ in three out of the four rounds to take pole position from Tommy Hall and Greg Williams. After the A-finals it was Neil Cragg still on top with Jonathan Skidmore coming in 2nd and Tommy Hall rounding out the top 3. 2WD Buggy final results: In 4WD Buggy it was a different story with Greg Williams now taking TQ, ahead of Tommy Hall and Jonathan Skidmore, who lined up 2nd and 3rd respectively. When the dust had settled, it was Greg Williams with the day’s win from Neil Cragg 2nd and Joni Skidmore in 3rd. 4WD Buggy final results: The 2WD Stadium Truck class saw Nick Gurnell take pole ahead of Lee Talbot and Abe Lyons, however the A-main saw Joe Cockill on top in the end with Lee Talbot and Alex Callan on the remaining top 3 spots. 2WD Stadium Truck final results: The Vintage classes had Mitchell Fiddling leading the way in 4WD and Paul Kemp in 2WD in qualifying. | Tessmann & Rivkin win Team Associated Off-road Champs Posted: 13 Nov 2019 01:39 AM PST The Team Associated Off-road Championships were held at Trackside Hobbies and Raceway in Brookfield, Wisconsin over the weekend, attracting nearly 330 entries. The smooth and consistent high-grip track conditions made for very close racing and in the premier 2WD Mod Buggy class it was Xray’s Ty Tessmann with the overall TQ from Team Associated’s Dustin Evans on the 2 spot. The triple A-main events saw Ty taking wins in A1 and A2 for an early overall victory as Team Associated’s Spencer Rivkin cemented his overall runner-up spot by taking the win in A3. Dustin Evans, with 2-3-2 finished had to settle for 3rd overall and in front of TLR’s Dakotah Phend. Over in 4WD Mod Buggy it was TLR’s Dakotah Phend with the overall TQ courtesy of taking the last three qualifying rounds while Q1 winner, Xray’s Ty Tessmann had to settle for 2nd on the grid. After the triple A-main events however it was Team Associated’s Spencer Rivkin, coming from P3 on the grid, with the overall win after coming out on top in A2 and A3 while A1 winner, Ty Tessmann snatched the overall runner-up spot from TQ Dakotah Phend. Cole Tollard would complete the top 4 results. In the hotly contested 13.5T Wheeler class it was Xray’s Paul Ciccarello with the overall win, coming from P2 on the grid. Top qualifier, Tekno RC’s Alec Walters would take the overall runner-up spot as Xray’s Matt Wilbert completed the top 3 results. The black coated and laser-engraved part weighs in at 176g and it is suitable for standard and shorty-type LiPo battery packs. The construction shifts the weight bias of the truck further towards the front end for improved climbing performance, however it requires the use of Samix’s END-6068 or END-4068 front bumper mounts to make it fully work.
