Rêve D RS-ST digital servo & USB programmer Posted: 06 Nov 2019 08:12 AM PST Rêve D have introduced their first products in the form of the RS-ST digital high-torque drift car servo and the RS-PGC USB programming dongle. Starting with the RS-ST servo, it features an IRC motor for super high torque values while offering very smooth operation as it is needed for controllable counter steering angles during competitive drift car driving. An aluminium middle case makes for good heat dissipation while offering a low weight. Due to the servo’s high-torque specification it is 2.5mm taller than usual low-profile types.
Also new is the PS-PGC USB programming dongle for the Rêve D servos. The device allows to adjust speed, torque, boost, dead band and curve settings in order to fine-tune the steering characteristics to the driver’s liking and skills. RC Maker Montecarlo anti-tuck wing mounts Posted: 06 Nov 2019 02:20 AM PST Coming from RC Maker and made for Mon-Tech Racing’s Montecarlo touring car body shell is the anti-tuck wing mounting set. 3-D-printed for a low weight and exceptional durability the mounts prevent body tucks behind the rear wheel arch during racing, as well as inconsistencies on high speed tracks and in windy conditions, causing the bodyshell to vibrate. The new V2 Lite set weighs in at only 5g for the pair, and it only requires one additional M3 screw other than the wing mounting screw to secure the strut behind the wheel arch. Using existing upper wing buttons, owners can screw directly into the strut securing it at the top whilst also securing the body’s wing, making for quick and easy body preparation. Klinik RC wireless transmitter charging system Posted: 06 Nov 2019 12:20 AM PST Klinik RC have introduced their are wireless transmitter charging system for Futaba, KO Propo and Sanwa transmitters. Designed to work with the most common transmitters on the market, Klinik RC have started with a blank slate and spent several months developing the correct charging pad, receiver coil and micro chip processors for safe, reliable and true balance charging. The designers engineered the charging coil to the smallest sizes possible. Measuring less than 1mm thick over most of the surface ensures it will fit very easily inside any battery compartment. The radio can easily stay topped off during any race day simply by placing on the pad between heats. Installation takes only a few minutes on average with no tools required. All that is needed is an available USB charge port, featured on most chargers and power supplies today, and a balance plug when using a 2S LiPo system. The charging system will work with all common transmitter batteries on the market regardless of capacity, all that is required is a battery with a standard JST-XH balance plug.

Venables & Brown win at EssexCarpetClash Rd2 Posted: 05 Nov 2019 11:47 PM PST Round two of EssexCarpetClash took place last weekend, with a good entry level of some very competitive drivers, 2WD being an oversubscribed class. 4WD saw Stephen Brown pick up where he left off from round 1, securing his pole position taking three of the four rounds of qualifying. Finals also went Brown’s way, by taking the first two leg wins, giving him the overall win for the day. It was then down to who would complete the podium and in which order. John Painter had looked fast all day and lined up 2nd of the grid with a chasing Lee Hedges on 3rd. After the 3-leg finals – and with Brown not participating in the 3rd – where tight close battles took place on track in all legs, the podium would conclude the same as the grid start with Stephen Brown on top followed by John Painter and Lee Hedges. 2WD was another close battle with three drivers dominating the top of the sheets. Kyle Moon took pole position ahead of Ellis Stafford and Will Venables. The finals would also see these drivers drive away from the pack, but small errors by all, changed the order several times, giving each a chance for the win. Nose to tail racing across all legs, separated only by who would make a mistake first. Venables chased down the very fast paced Moon and was able to take two leg wins, giving him the overall win for the meeting. Pole man Moon had to settle for 2nd and Kevin Brunsden would finish 3rd having finished well in the last two legs. A little break until round 3 on 22 December now, where a reserve list has already been started, showing how popular this series is.
