IGT8 dynamic anti-dive support Posted: 24 Oct 2019 12:35 AM PDT IGT8 have introduced the new dynamic anti-dive support set for their line of 1/8th GT cars. The kit eliminates the front body roll when the front suspension is under compression by keeping the body levelled, avoiding unwanted tyre marks on the front fenders and thus increasing the steering. The set includes two machined carbon fibre levers that are attached to the front C-hubs with the red anodised alloy posts and ball bearings supporting the body shell. Also included is all needed hardware. Source: IGT8 [IGT8.com] The post IGT8 dynamic anti-dive support appeared first on Red RC. |
Xtreme Racing introduce more Arrma carbon optionals Posted: 23 Oct 2019 11:55 PM PDT Coming from Xtreme Racing are some more carbon fibre optionals for the popular Arrma Limitless and and Infraction high-speed on-road bashing vehicles. First up are Limitless specific carbon fibre wing mount and wing end plates. The wing mount plates are machined from 2.5mm carbon material and they were designed to replace the standard plastic wing mount. Using the parts will provide a stronger support over the stock parts, resulting in improved downforce. The set includes two wing mount plates. Also new are the 2.0mm carbon fibre wing end plates. A direct replacement for the standard plastic parts the carbon fibre items will improve looks and stability. Last but not least comes a 2-piece set of 2.0mm carbon side skirt plates. They replace the standard kit parts, look much nicer and stay straight thanks to the high-quality carbon fibre material they are made of. The side skirts are usable on both the Limitless and Infraction cars. Source: Xtreme Racing [] The post Xtreme Racing introduce more Arrma carbon optionals appeared first on Red RC. |
Posted: 23 Oct 2019 11:30 PM PDT SMJ have introduced their new Teflon battery tape that will greatly lower the friction between the battery compartment surface and the battery case. Only 0.15mm thin the tape has a very low friction coefficient while not disturbing a low centre of gravity, ensuring the battery has way less influence in chassis tweak during cornering, ensuring more equal left-to-right chassis flex. The tape also offers protection to the chassis and battery case making both parts look fresh for a long time. SMJ recommend to place the tape on the lower side of the battery case instead of the main plate when running the latest breed of highly machined flex aluminium chassis. A fast, but technical track greeted the racers and after the four rounds of qualifying it was Ellis Stafford (Schumacher) who would take the TQ in the 2WD class, followed by William Venebles (Team Associated) in 2nd, Mark Lewis (Team Associated) in 3rd, Richard Miller (Yokomo) in 4th, Joe Renton (Team Associated) in 5th and Lee Hedges (Xray) in 6th, with the remaining A final spots would be filled from the bump ups via the lower finals. In 4WD, TQ went to Darren Boyle (LC Racing) from Sam Breton (Corally) in 2nd and Oliver Szymanksi (Corally) in 3rd. On to the finals and the 2WD B-final was an entertaining one, with the lead swapping hands many times throughout the race. After a dreadful start from pole man Gareth Cutting (Team Associated) it was Stuart Smith (Team Associated) who took advantage from P2 to take a comfortable win with Stephen Blake (Team Associated) coming from P4 to take the second and final bump to the A-main. Next to run was the 4WD A-final, this was taken flag to flag by pole man Darren Boyle with Oli Szymanski coming through in 2nd and narrowly beating Sam Breton by less than a second. The final race of the day was the 2WD A-final, pole man Ellis Stafford led the field away and looked comfortable out front until an error on the very last lap allowed William Venebles to sneak through and just pinch the win with Mark Lewis coming home in 3rd. The next round of the series will be held on November 16th. Source: DMS Model Car Club [dmsresults.co.uk] The post X-Factory UK Winter Series Rd1 – Report appeared first on Red RC. |
T-Works B74 stainless steel chassis protectors Posted: 23 Oct 2019 01:55 AM PDT T-Works have introduced new stainless steel chassis protectors for the Team Associated B74 buggy. Made from high-quality material the skid plates improve chassis protection when running on highly abrasive surfaces or when racing on tracks with large jumps. The plates come as separate 2-piece sets for the front and rear and the plates also add some weight to the lowest point of the chassis which comes in handy to further lower the overall centre of gravity for high-bite surfaces.
