RC Maker GeoCarbon Arrowmax tyre warmer stand Posted: 13 Aug 2019 06:23 AM PDT Coming from RC Maker are their new GeoCarbon stands for the Arrowmax tyre warmer. The new Arrowmax tyre warmers boast a great design, however the tiny footprint leaves two floors, they move around on the table, and are hard to read while sitting down. So RC Maker have developed special plates that attach to the warmer’s case. Simply unscrew the end plates, put the carbon stand on, and screw the end plates back on. This will fit in the supplied Arrowmax bag whilst still assembled, no need to ever take it apart again. They are constructed of 100 percent carbon fibre, which is flexible and strong. The feet have been cut in a way to increase their grip to the bench to prevent moving around on the pit mat. The stands come as a pair, a left and a right to do one tyre warmer control box. Czech 1/8th Off-road Nationals Rd4 & Rd5 – Report Posted: 13 Aug 2019 04:35 AM PDT The final two rounds of the 2019 Czech 1/8th Off-road Nationals took place last weekend at the Horni Jeleni track. The weekend kicked off on Friday with practice on a very dusty track but overnight rain meant the track would be wet for Saturday morning. Max Götzl started the qualifying with TQ runs in both Nitro and Electric buggy, which was followed by another two double TQs in Q2 and Q3. In Nitro Ales Bidovsky lined up 2nd with Jiri Mara in 3rd, while the E-Buggy top 3 was completed by Ales in 2nd and Marek Schiller in 3rd. The finals started as usual. The Semi B saw a clean run and Max was able to win A1 of E-Buggy, but after that, it was time for the Semi A and the rain came during the race. This led to slower times for the drivers, but Max still tried to push as much as he could. After the end of the Semi, the rain got even heavier, so after some time the race got cancelled. As both Semis were run, the Nitro results were taken from the semi results, handing Ales Bidovsky the win from Max Gotzl and Tomas Kapicka. The E-Buggy results were taken from qualifiers as only one main was run, so Max took the win from Alex and Marek. The rain on Saturday stopped in the evening, so on Sunday morning the track was still pretty wet when going into round 5 of the championship. The organisers decided to wait and let the track dry and after more sawdust was applied the opening round of qualifiers would be held on a drying track. In E-Buggy it was Ales Bidovsky with the overall TQ with Max in 2nd and Marek in 3rd. Over in Nitro Max took the overall TQ from Ales in 2nd and Jiri in 3rd. For the Nitro Semis the track had grooved in making for equal conditions for both finals. Max was on top of this game and took the pole position for the 45-minute A-main event with Alex 2nd and Jiri in 3rd. The final then saw Max checking out early and ending the main with a good margin on Jiri Mara in 2nd and Ales Bidovsky in 3rd. E-Buggy saw two more flawless runs of Max for his second overall win on Sunday, leaving the field to battle for the remaining podium spots in A3. In the end it was Marek Schiller with the overall runner-up spot from Ales Bidovsky in 3rd. With the results Max brought home both the Nitro and Electric Championships with Jiri Mara coming in 2nd and Ales Bidovsky rounding out the top 3 in Nitro. Over in E-Buggy and behind Max, it was Marek Schiller with the vice-championship from Ales Bidovsky in 3rd. RCLyfe 22SCT 3.0 carbon fibre optionals Posted: 13 Aug 2019 02:22 AM PDT RCLyfe have announced the soon release of new carbon fibre optionals for the TLR 22SCT 3.0 2WD short course truck. First up is the 22SCT LowRider front tower that was designed to give optimum performance by lowering roll centre, limiting roll created by the suspension, and smoothing out steering response. The LowRider front tower is to be used with the TLR 5.0 G3 rear buggy shock bodies and the TLR 5.0 G3 front shock shafts. Also new is the LowRider rear shock tower that also lowers roll cents and limited chassis roll, making it the ideal addition to the front shock tower. The rear tower is to be used with the TLR 5.0 G3 rear buggy shocks, the TLR 5.0 carbon tower base, and Exotek body mounts. Both the front and rear shock stay are cut from high-quality 5mm carbon fibre. Also coming for the 22SCT is the in-line LiPo cradleT that is designed to bring the weight of the battery into the centre line of the truck. This limits the amount of weight transferred from side to side, increasing the performance, and handling of the truck. Included with the set comes mounting hardware as well as two rubber O-rings for quick and secure battery mounting. Last but not least comes the in-line ESC tray that is designed to to bring the weight of the ESC into the centre line of the truck. This limits the amount of weight transferred from side to side, increasing the performance, improving handling of the truck, and allowing for easy removal of the ESC for maintenance. All of the above parts are also available soon as part of RCLyfe’s 22SCT LowRider conversion kit. Rebellion-RC T4 MM mid-motor chassis conversion kit Posted: 13 Aug 2019 01:00 AM PDT Following a couple of preview renderings RC-Carbonstore have finally fully unveiled their Rebellion-RC mid motor electric touring car conversion kits. The upgrade sets centre around the patent pending sliding motor mount design that allows gear mesh adjustment through the chassis bottom, with the narrow design of the whole assembly ensuring the overall motor and battery width remains the same as in the “rear motor” standard cars, creating a very centralised weight distribution and less unwanted chassis roll compared to current mid motor conversions. In addition the design makes for an ultra low centre of gravity while allowing integrated flex settings via up to seven motor mount screws. The sliding design also ensures a very wide gear mesh adjustment range, fitting up to 48T pinion and 114T main gears, making the conversion ideal for both stock and modified racing alike. The final specification of the kit now also incorporates three chassis stiffness adjustment areas that allow to brace the upper and lower deck in front of the rear bulkhead, in front of the centre shaft and behind the front bulkhead – allowing to access complex chassis flex settings. Other features include a highest quality PA12 material 3-D-printed diff pulley that is precision CNC-milled for a perfect finish, a precision-machined stainless steel main shaft as well as the possibility to combine all three aluminium colour options of black, orange and natural with Rebellion-RC’s full range of carbon fibre twill colours. Not to be forgotten is a floating motor fan mount that attaches to the motor mount and that ensures lower motor temperatures while not disturbing natural chassis flex. Included with the kits, that are completely made in Austria, also come high-quality Bando Kevlar belts as well as all needed screws and bearings. The MM conversions are available for the Xray T4 and also for the Team Associated TC7.2 as well as the Yokomo BD9 and BD8 with conversions for other cars coming at a later date.
