CBO: Millions would become uninsured under Graham-Cassidy bill
The Congressional Budget Office estimated that millions of Americans would lose access to insurance coverage if legislation sponsored by Sens. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., and Bill Cassidy, R-La., became law and spending would be cut by $230 billion from 2020 to 2026. The legislation, which replaces the ACA funding structure with state block grants, could also result in 580,000 lost jobs and $240 billion in lost economic activity by 2027, according to an S&P Global Ratings report.
