New Data Interactive | How Professors View Students Dear John,
Faculty members on todayâs campuses juggle many duties, but one thing is constant: working with students. And professors today believe that the best â and worst â part of being a professor is dealing with the students.
That is a key finding of a new national survey of faculty job satisfaction from The Chronicle. Students are one of the clearest sources of stress, the survey shows. For example, just over half of faculty members agree that teaching is harder work than it used to be.
At the same time, many professors expressed a deep love for the classroom, and helping students.
