It's also Ukraine's Independence Day. ðºð¦ What You Need to Know The first GOP presidential primary debate took place last night and was a raucous night of talking over each other, attacking each other but largely ignoring the "elephant not in the room" - Donald Trump. When asked if they would support Trump as the nominee, even if he becomes a convicted felon, all but Asa Hutchinson and Chris Christie said they would. However, most also agreed that Mike Pence "did his duty" supporting the Constitution on Jan. 6, 2021. Candidates also addressed a nationwide abortion ban, Ukraine, climate change. and fentanyl. DeSantis said he would use the US military to go into Mexico and 'take out' drug cartels.
Speaking of Donald Trump, he is expected to surrender at the Fulton County Jail in Georgia today and will be required to post a $200,000 bond. Media and supporters are already gathered outside the jail.
Surely living on borrowed time since his failed coup two months ago, Wagner chief Yevgeny Prigozhin and Wagner's founder, Dmitry Utkin are apparently dead after their plane crashed about 100 miles outside of Moscow. Radar showed a normal flight pattern until the last 30 seconds, when it did a nose dive from 28,000 feet straight into the ground. Unnamed sources told Reuters they believed the plane had been shot down by surface-to-air missiles. Prigozhin and Utkin were on the passenger list of the private plane, but there is no official confirmation that they actually boarded the plane. Prigozhin was known to have numerous passports and body doubles who traveled under his name. Rapid Relevance It's baaack! Pumpkin spice, that is.
