It's a pretty rare thing for a woman to have a double uterus. So you're talking about a lottery-style longshot for her to have a baby in both. Kelsey Hatcher of Dora has known for years that she had a condition known as uterine didelphys -- two uteruses, two cervixes. Only around 3 out of every thousand women have the condition. AL.com's Williesha Morris reports that, while Hatcher was getting her eight-week ultrasound, the tech checked each uterus and found both of them to be occupied. Hatcher's already had three kids. She said this pregnancy has been typical except that she has been more tired and more emotional. Her OB at UAB is Dr. Shweta Patel. Patel said this is a one-in-a-million pregnancy and that they're using a team to take care of Hatcher. They plan on inducing labor on Dec. 22. |

U.S. Rep. Jim Jordan, an Ohio Republican, is again raising the option of moving the FBI's primary headquarters to Huntsville's Redstone Arsenal, reports AL.com's Paul Gattis. Jordan has raised the possibility before, although the FBI has reportedly said it wants to stay in the Washington D.C. area. And this time it's coming a couple weeks after the FBI decided on a Maryland site. Yet on Tuesday at a House Judiciary Committee meeting, Jordan was calling the Arsenal the ideal location. It already has an FBI campus that's described as the Bureau's second headquarters. The Wall Street Journal has previously reported that Jordan is concerned about the liberal political influence over the FBI in Washington. |

We have a ranking put together by Stacker that'll make some of you say, "Thank God for Mississippi" and the rest of you say, "What is Mississippi doing that we ain't?" Good and bad is subjective here, is what I'm saying. The ranking is of the most politically conservative states. And AL.com's Leada Gore reports that Alabama is second on the list, behind only Mississippi. The data for the study was provided by Gallup. 45 percent of Alabama residents consider themselves conservative, and 34 percent of them consider themself moderate. And since 1964, Alabama has voted Republican in 13 of 15 presidential elections. Rounding out the Top five are Wyoming, West Virginia and South Dakota. |
Blake Dorning, who served four terms as Madison County Sheriff ending in 2018, passed away Tuesday after a battle with cancer. He was 61 years old. |
