The teen years are often known for new-found independence and a desire to push away from one’s family of origin. Christian parents often carry the weight of wanting their kids to stay strong in their faith in the midst of peer pressure and the challenges of growing older. “Train Up a Teen: Young Evangelicals Mostly Keep Their Parents Faith” offers insight into the statistics behind these realities.
Our prayer is that teens would ask good questions and engage in theology on their own. As we raise the next generation (through parenting or discipling) to know Jesus, let’s work to promote honest conversations, vulnerability, and a desire to become more like Christ.
