Raising a Non-Picky Child

By Jodi Murray H.

A father talking to his son at a party.I was an extremely picky kid, I admit. I didn't think I liked anything - no vegetables or any strange or new food. I was pretty much meat and potatoes, and sweets, of course. My parents would demand that I eat; forcing me, threatening, even hitting, and withholding desserts if I didn't "clean my plate."

Toilet Paper Limit Indicator

By attosa

An indicator on the wall under a roll of toilet paper, to denote the limit to use.Toilet paper can easily go to waste, especially if you're using multiple-ply styles, and have people in the house who love to just pull and pull at the roll. My Mom's Cheesecake

By suz1230

fruit decorated Cheesecake This cheesecake is a little bit different from many others I've had over the years. It has layers that you see when you cut into it. There's a few cheesecakes with the sour cream added on top, but I've not tasted or seen any like this one; it is special. Everyone over the years has just enjoyed it to the max.

Storing a Toothbrush for Daily Use

By Lucy Cannon

A toothbrush under a folded white washcloth. We have all tried several different ways to deal with drippy toothbrushes in the bathroom. Those old icky containers with holes in the top, where the water drips down and forms a scum. Then the ones in the medicine cabinet that cause rust on the metal. Well listen and learn from an old lady who has done them all.
