Council's role in Mascot Tower debacle investigated
Almost three years ago, residents were forced to evacuate their Mascot Tower homes over safety concerns the building would collapse after cracks were found in its basement. Now an investigation will be launched into the former City of Botany Bay Council’s handling of the Mascot Towers saga, after the government announced it will extend an accommodation assistance package to residents for a seventh time.
