Quick tip of the dayYou already know strong passwords, antivirus software and avoiding sketchy sites are important, but when’s the last time you considered your firewall? Be honest. Yeah, I thought so. First, let’s make sure it’s actually on. For Windows, open Settings > Update & Security. Choose Windows Security from the left-hand menu. Choose Firewall & Network Protection to open the firewall menu. If it’s off, you can toggle it on or reset the settings to default by clicking on Restore firewalls to default. For Mac, open System Preferences > Security and Privacy. Click the Lock Icon to make changes and enter your admin username and password. Then select Turn on Firewall.🍎 And now, you need to test it’s working properly. Port scans help you make sure you’re keeping bad apples out of your system. Head to my site to check your firewall. |
