Qatar Airways returns to Canberra

For the first time in over four years, Qatar Airways will hit Canberra skies. The return of the Middle Eastern carrier to the nation's capital has been eagerly awaited since the deal between Virgin Australia and Qatar Airways was announced in October. Connor Pearce has the details.

The Albanese government will throw regional media a $180.5 million lifeline . The News Media Assistance Program will direct funding towards community and regional media, as well as $33 million to the Australian Associated Press, which has been hit hard by rising costs and the withdrawal of funding sources.

Dozens of students and staff at Brindabella Christian College are planning to leave the school as uncertainty surrounds whether it will be able to operate in the new year. At least 20 staff have resigned so far, Sarah Lansdown reports.
