The Advocate's Top Headlines

with Matthew Albright | Assistant metro editor

Good morning! Here are some of our top stories from yesterday.

Putting COVID in the rear view?

Health experts warn another variant or other change could bring COVID roaring back, but for now the worst is clearly over.

Big news in Baton Rouge politics

Metro Council member Erika Green won an election this weekend to be a judge. That sets up an election to fill her seat — and a potential debate on council about who to appoint in the interim.

This story walks through the process and mentions at least three prominent local figures who could be running for the seat.

You can find more details in our review here.

Thanks for reading, and have a great day!
