This event focuses specifically on the Community Resilience Working Group’s recommendations. More than the necessary financial aspects offered are needed - make sure that equity for all in your community is considered. For example: - Considering the significance of affordability to enacting many new policies/recommendations, how much were socioeconomic factors discussed or incorporated into the plan, including frontline communities?
- What ways are these communities able to gain more control and say over their future?
To explore these issues we are offering a webinar with presentations by two of the Working Group Co-Chairs: Judy East, Land Use Planning Commission, MDACF and Rebecca Boulos, Maine Public Health Association After they share their perspectives on the recommendations for the Climate Action Plan we will help you fill out the survey in a break out room and answer any questions.
