An Xbox title has just taken top spot as the most preordered game on PS5 | Microsoft confirmed in February that it would bring more of its 'exclusive' Xbox games to PlayStation and Nintendo Switch
| A former Xbox exclusive has just become the most preordered video game on the rival PlayStation 5 console in the U.S. Sea of Thieves is one of four games that Xbox owner Microsoft recently announced it would make multiplatform — a controversial decision for some loyal Xbox fans. As of Sunday, the $60 premium edition of Sea of Thieves was number one in the preorder chart for PlayStation, followed by The Show 24, Battlefront Classic Collection, and Dragon’s Dogma II, Forbes reported. The $40 standard edition of Sea of Thieves was in fifth spot. Forbes added that if Sea of Thieves continues to make healthy sales, “you can imagine the gears turning in Microsoft’s head about how well much bigger games may sell on the platform” ... | |

Asimov’s vision of harvesting solar power from space could become a reality
| It's hoped that people on Earth will be using power from a small space-based solar system by the mid-2030s | It’s an idea straight out of science fiction: A space station orbiting Earth harvests energy from the sun and beams it down to our planet. Isaac Asimov popularized the concept in his 1941 story Reason, and futurists have been dreaming about it ever since. But this notion is more than just an idle fantasy — it’s a highly practical concept being pursued by space agencies across the world, and it’s almost within reach of current technologies. It could even be the solution to the energy crisis on Earth. Digital Trends spoke to the head of the Advanced Concepts and Studies Office at the European Space Agency to learn how we might go about turning this dream into a reality ... | |

I tried a $130 health gadget that beats the Apple Watch in a big way | Most modern smartwatches offer quick and easy EKG readings. This $130 health gadget knocks them out of the park | Have you seen TV ads for the AliveCor KardiaMobile 6-Lead Personal EKG Monitor? These commercials feature someone asking folks on the street whether their heart is healthy. Interestingly, most people don’t have a clue. This is where the tiny KardiaMobile device comes in. It works with your smartphone and promises a real-time heart health assessment. Does it work? That’s what I wanted to find out. I purchased the KardiaMobile a few months after my primary care provider performed a traditional EKG test on me and noticed a problem that led to medical treatment. The KardiaMobile 6-Lead is the only FDA-approved six-lead personal EKG. It requires no wires, patches, or gels, and it is powered by a replaceable 3V CR2016 coin cell battery. | |
