You can try to contain her on a video or on a record, but the place where Alice Phoebe Lou feels most alive is in direct contact with her audience. Alice has been self-releasing her music as an independent artist since moving to Berlin in 2014 largely funding her project by playing on the streets of Berlin and touring extensively, tallying up an impressive 102 shows in 2019 alone.
This year she is teaming up with Stiftung Planetarium Berlin and Primavera Sound to bring you a special performance, streamed live from the dome of Berlin's Zeiss-Grossplanetarium on the 26th of June at 7pm CEST. This will be Alice Phoebe Lou's first full band show of 2020, but her and the band have played numerous shows in this state of the art planetarium, developing and adjusting the visuals & overall concert experience each time with Tim Florian Horn (Director of the Stiftung Planetarium Berlin), who will direct the visual show.
Primavera Sound will be exclusively streaming the show on their new platform PS Life and access to the concert will be completely free in order to encourage donations to the South African NGO Gift of the Givers, who are providing disaster relief & essential aid to communities in South Africa who are hardest hit by the repercussions of the global pandemic.
