During this program, expert speakers Kevin Bussiere, RN-CIC, and Marjorie Quint-Bouzid, MPA, RN, NEA-BC, will clarify confusing PPE situations as well as explain when and how to implement PPE best practices and an effective worker training program. Bussiere and Quint-Bouzid will demonstrate the role of technology, the use of a risk assessment, and the PPE needs of staff, as well as how to use peer support to improve compliance.
At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:
- Understand the role of technology, research and development, and regulations on healthcare PPE advancements
- Identify different types of PPE and when to appropriately use them
- Use a risk assessment to identify categories of staff and their PPE needs
- Demonstrate how to use peer support to improve worker compliance
