| | | Edition 30 | 2022 | | Dear John Do, | | Flexible leases, affordable offices, networking opportunities are crucial to many start-ups. Not surprisingly, the Initiative for Start-up and Innovation (ISI) Centre for Start-ups, Business and Innovation in Buchholz, which was founded in 2014, has become a permanent contact point for budding entrepreneurs. The five-storey building in the Harburg District Economic Development Corporation (WLH) is almost fully booked with some 36 start-ups and fledgling companies. Hamburg News spoke to Kerstin Helm, Manager of ISI, about knowledge transfer, the heterogeneous tenants and a new meet-up for particularly young entrepreneurs. In other news, Otto is expanding the platform strategy and the University of Hamburg has launched a revamped portal easing the search for data and a new initiative against food waste. Click on our Hamburg News site to read more daily economic reports from the Hamburg Metropolitan Region in both German and English. We value your opinion and look forward to your feedback. Sincerely, Hamburg News Editors
