Dear John,
It’s Pride Month. But I’m sure you already knew that! This is our month to celebrate the strength and courage it takes to be your authentic self. Change isn’t always easy. And being your authentic self isn’t easy either. Especially when there are those trying to shut you out.
In our community, Pride is about starting conversations about authenticity and living unapologetically as yourself. Regardless of who you are, who you love, or what you believe in.
Pride is a celebration, but it's also a declaration that every person in the LGBTQ+ community deserves to feel seen and safe and be granted the same rights as everyone else. So, we’re going to shout it from the rooftops this month and every month until it becomes a reality.
Remember that you are seen, loved, and accepted exactly as you are. I’m proud of you every month and you should be too.
For the rest of June, I’m going to be sending an email a week relating to Pride and living as your authentic self. If you’d prefer not to get them, no problem, just let me know and I’ll take you off the list.
